Well when they were first offered I couldn't decide whether I wanted them so I did nothing. Of coarse now I want them & they have gone up in price. Thanks to a forum member I feel I got a fair price for the 2 of them including shipping.

Spence: These cars are really cool. Also, they represent one of the recommended three food groups required to keep life coursing through your veins. This could be the start of something good. Perhaps, an all-hot-dog-train. Of course, it will have to contain a couple of Heinz ketchup and mustard cars. Bob S.
I don't know Spence, looks like something is missing from the side of those box cars.

Glad you like the cars. Are you on our mailing list?
One is never enough.

There are two road numbers, so there are two SKU's:
6-58567 NLOE Nathan's Steel Sided Reefer #83131
6-58568 NLOE Nathan's Steel Sided Reefer #83132

Well as you can tell by Charlie's post I bought a few more boxcars. Unfortunately when I like something I have to purchase more than one.
Yanks don't know hotdogs. Rule one: red hotdogs. Rule two: Mustard, onions, chili [NO beans] and slaw [yellow mustard base]. Just like bar-b-q pork [Yanks and others call it pulled pork]. Eastern NC style vinegar base [no red in it] spicy and finely chopped.

Very nice looking boxcars and unique!

I'm waiting for the Vienna Beef hot dog cars. Not as well known as Nathan's but a far better dog and not nearly as greasy IMHO. Vienna in the east is practically unknown and they left the DC area in 1986.
Those look really great Spence.
Spence,
Great new Nathan's Box Cars, the colors are fantastic.

Yes, but the loss of guilt feelings by ordering diet coke has got to be worth more than 50 cal. Besides I like the taste better than regular Coke.
Nathan's Hot Dogs should only be eaten with chili & cheese.
Good old fashioned Gulden's mustard is MY choice of condiment on a Nathan's or Hebrew National all-beef hot dog!
NEVER ketchup (barf!).
Sweet relish or sauerkraut is also acceptable to this hot dog fan!

That's humorous. (though the recipe listed might taste really good too) There's this little place called Coney Island....... One or 2 hot dogs may have been made there over the years...
These are cool Reefers, the latest and probably one of the best in recent memory from NLOE!

We see lots of Vienna Beef around Chicago..some Hebrew National as well. Definitely NO KETCHUP! For those who have never had one, I present "The Chicago 'Dog":
