Meet Gordon (a.k.a. Blue Dad)
A few months ago I challenged some coworkers and myself to make a Muppet-style puppet in our own likeness. I used a few of the simple series body patterns from Project Puppet, up-sized the patterns to 125% and had my mother teach me to sew. I'm pretty happy with Muppet #1 and am working on 2 more.

Pirate Sketches
Black Prismacolor on 9 x 12 Canson Sketch Bond
John Tucker is among the most gifted of art models. I've drawn him at a number of different classes and workshops and am always delighted to learn he will be the model for that session. He has the uncanny ability to become the character he is posing as whether it be a cowboy, a clown, or in this case a pirate. Every time he holds one of his exaggerated facial expressions I smile inwardly and then scramble to to try and capture his gift before the timer goes off. Thank you, John!
