The cycles of media have always been: 1. Establish a premium baseline 2. Transact directly with publishers 3. Expand into the long tail 4. Adopt more automated processes for transaction It's happened in display, audio, OOH, OLV, and now it's the norm in CTV. The difference between CTV and those is that it's been a rapid changeover. The cycle is moving faster, and DSPs that are building to the needs of programmatic CTV buyers will have an advantage. If you are a buyer, think about what outcomes you want to see and what tools you have to get there.
