Scuba diving gear and photo equipment

Not a single day passes without me being asked what camera I use for my underwater photos or if I can recommend a piece of scuba gear, so I have put together a list of all the equipment that I love and use.

I have been traveling a lifetime and diving all around the globe. I have also tried a good deal of equipment throughout the years and here is what I am very happy with at the moment.

You can even get a discount or a gift with our promo codes at check out. For some of the products I get a small commission, if you make a purchase, but rest assured, I put my name behind each and every piece of equipment and do not recommend anything that I have not personally tested and convinced it is of great quality.

Scuba Gear

  • BCD
โ€“ SCUBAPRO Hydros Pro โ€“ Extremely comfortable and robust with integrated weight pockets and pouches on the back. I particularly like that you can change the colour of the BCD to match your mood and the rest of your gear.
โ€“ SCUBAPRO Go BCD โ€“ Lightweight and compact, excellent for travel. Super comfortable fit and big pockets.
  • Regulator
โ€“ SCUBAPRO MK11/C370 โ€“ Extremely easy to breathe from and I also really like the sleek design.
    โ€“ SCUBAPRO R195 Octopus โ€“ Top quality!
โ€“ SCUBAPRO standard pressure gauge โ€“ nice and small.
  • Dive computer
โ€“ SCUBAPRO Galileo 3 & Transmitter Smart + Pro โ€“ Stylish watch-style with air integration function
โ€“ SCUBAPRO LUNA 2.0 โ€“ Big screen and excellent for dry suit diving.
โ€“ SCUBAPRO Aladin A2 โ€“ I have also personalised it with a turquoise silicone strap.
  • Masks
โ€“ SCUBAPRO Synergy Twin โ€“ My absolute favourite dive mask. I canโ€™t describe how well designed it is. The silicone contouring the face is extra thin ensuring a perfect seal.
โ€“ SCUBAPRO Trinidad 3 โ€“ single lens. I use it as a primary and back-up mask.
โ€“ SCUBAPRO Steel Comp โ€“ great for freediving!
    * all of the above fit with the SCUBAPRO Comfort Straps, which come in different colours.
NB: Donโ€™t forget that the mask needs to fit YOUR face, so you might need a different model ๐Ÿ˜‰
  • Fins
โ€“ SCUBAPRO Seawing Supernova โ€“ The ultimate fins with increased control and power. These are the best travel invention as you can disassemble the fins and also come with an open heel or full-foot part, which you can easily interchange.
โ€“ SCUBAPRO Supernova S-Tek blades โ€“ Come with integrated adjustable weights.
โ€“ SCUBAPRO Seawing Nova โ€“ Amazing kicking comfort and perfect control! My favourite open heel fins by far.
โ€“ SCUBAPRO Go Travel โ€“ Light and compact โ€“ great for travel. I wear them barefoot and they feel very comfortable.
  • Dive boots
โ€“ SCUBAPRO Everflex Arch 5mm โ€“ Solid, warm and very easy to put on and I love the fact that they donโ€™t have a zipper.
  • Wetsuits
โ€“ SCUBAPRO Yulex Dive Streamer 3/2mm โ€“ the new line of 100% neoprene-free wetsuits
โ€“ SCUBAPRO Sports Shorty 2mm โ€“ Incredibly soft and stretchy neoprene
โ€“ SCUBAPRO Definition Streamer 5mm โ€“ Absolutely flexible and unbelievable easy to put on and take off.
โ€“ SCUBAPRO hooded diving vest 5mm โ€“ I tend to get very cold, so I love this extra piece of protection. I like the fact that the hood is attached and it seals the face very nicely.
โ€“ ROXY Pop Surf I have all sorts of pieces with different thickness. The thing I like best is that even the thickest ones are very easy to put on.
  • Rash guards
โ€“ PADI โ€“ I have a black PADI rashie, which I love, because it is made from ocean waste. It is super breathable and dries very fast. You can get 15% off in the PADI Gear store with the code ISIDORA15 (no commission involved, this is just a little something from me to you)
โ€“ SCUBAPRO long sleeve โ€“ I wear it underneath both my shorty and my 5mm
โ€“ SCUBAPRO short sleeve โ€“ I change into it for the surface intervals.
  • Compass
โ€“ SUUNTO Clipper Compass If you donโ€™t want to strap an extra โ€œwatchโ€ on your wrist, this tiny compass is great for clipping on the armband of your dive computer.
  • Snorkels
โ€“ SCUBAPRO Apnea Snorkel โ€“ I use it for freediving as well as for scuba, as you can detach it and fold it away in your pocket.
โ€“ SCUBAPRO Spectra Dry Snorkel โ€“ It seals completely when submerged, so you donโ€™t ever have to clear it.
