Introduction

Calm winds, serene skies, and green fields of dewy grass are the high stakes in this gamble against evil. With the wind Sorcerer Vaati on the loose and the Princess Zelda lost, it's up to one brave boy and the magical Four Sword to restore order to Hyrule.

For over a decade, we've charged through Link's many adventures in Hyrule, knocking down pea hats, thwapping moblins, and foiling Ganon's quests of evil. But just when we thought we had Link figured out, the little green hombre splits in four and tosses a completely new challenge our way. Now in charge of a small army of Links, we've had to learn the Zelda formula all over again...and it's your turn to act as General. If Link's new style of combat and puzzles has you stumped, IGN's guide to The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures will push you along with:

Q & A: Your general Four Swords Adventures questions answered. Learn how do you power up your sword, and when to deal with the elusive Shadow Link.

Since my girlfriend left for the summer, my days have been bleaker, my nights longer. Pulling myself out of bed to plod to work has gotten increasingly difficult. When all hope seemed lost, I showed up in the office one stormy day and found Zelda: Four Swords Adventures on my desk. I wouldn't say that my girlfriend has been replaced...but I can't deny that Link's cute little green hat and suit haven't made me love life again.
