Since this was a last-minute effort, I thought I'd experiment with the old illustration-on-top-of-an-actual-photo trick to save time.

Here's a quick color of a spot (actually published in black/white) I did for a kids' activity book.

Genesis 24:18 "Drink, my lord," she said, and quickly lowered the jar to her hands and gave him a drink.

Illustration Friday: PORTRAIT

It was cool to see this week's IF topic in my inbox this morning, because I had just finished this quasi-caricature portrait for a coworker & friend of mine. His son is playing John Darling in his school's version of Peter Pan, and he wanted a caricature done to commemorate it.

I did the outlines in pencil & then colored in Photoshop. Worked out pretty well.
