酒後駕駛係一種飲酒之後揸車（有地方包埋揸船、揸飛機、同其他機器、騎馬咁）。

酒後駕駛舊時叫醉酒駕駛，係指飲醉酒之後揸車揸船，不過飲酒後唔一定會醉，唔醉一樣都會影響駕駛，所以就改叫酒後駕駛。

世界各地對酒後駕駛有唔同嘅定義。

香港：0.05%（或每100毫升呼氣量內含22微克酒精，又或每100毫升尿液內含67毫克酒精）。如果駕駛者酒精含量超過法定標準，當事人最高可被罰款25000港元、監禁3年、停牌三個月、被記10分違例駕駛記分，以及強制修讀一個駕駛改進課程。再犯更可被停牌至少兩年^[5]。如果因為醉駕引致他人死亡，會被改控危險駕駛導致他人死亡，可被判10年監禁。
澳門：任何人喺公共道路上揸車而其佢每公升血液中酒精含量1.2克或以上，如果其他法律規定無訂定較重處罰，就判處最高一年監禁及停牌一年至三年^[6]。
日本：0
中華民國（台灣）：0.05%（0.05%以上未滿0.11%者罰15,000至60,000新台幣，停牌一年；超過0.11%以上停牌一年，並依公共危險罪移送法辦，最重可判處一年以下有期徒刑，肇事而要負刑責，加重刑罰二分之一。），導致重傷或死亡，終身停牌^[7]。
