    There's a new sign on Hamilton almost at the corner of Main, "The Point". That's the same spot where Daft Burger and El Salvadoreno used to be, sure hope that if they are good, that they make it in that location. Location itself seems to be doomed.

    Oh man, if only a Whole Foods or Trader Joe's would open up on the west side... or even Hilliard! It's a bit of an organic food desert out here on the Hilltop. At least Grandview isn't too far away. I'm excited about Sweet Carrot taking over the Rife Market space!

    Is there room for an IKEA over there? They said it's going to be the size of all of Lennox Town Center, including the Target/Movie theater plus all surrounding stores.

    Yeah, there's plenty of room where they're putting it. I was just wondering if there was room on the West Side. Also, it's not as high a traffic area as Polaris, and they're going to be finished the Worthington Rd. connector.

    I am dying for another Trader Joe's to open up. Both locations are actually only about 5 miles away from me, but take about 30 minutes to get to. Hate driving in the Sawmill area, and I hate driving in the Easton area!! I was hoping for one in the old 5th Avenue Giant Eagle location...anyone know what is going in there?

    Yeah, plus that spot seems a little big for a Trader Joe's. I thought I heard people were petitioning to have one built at Grandview Yard. That, or I could just be spreading rumors.

    Is this Tai's Tiki and Sushi Candace?  This is the same owner as Tai's Asian Bistro on Lane Avenue.  This place has been so slow to open.  I'll be curious to see how this restaurant is - Tai's on Lane has been having some quality issue for me lately...

    Brenz Pizza is opening behind DiBella's on Olentangy River Road I would think some time in the next two months. The sign is up.

    There's supposed to be a Zoup! going into that building as well, but I haven't heard anything on it recently.

    March 6th is when the new fried hot fish pop-up, J Hot Fish, moves in and opens at Hot Chicken Takeover's old spot on Oak in OTE. I'm not the biggest fried fish fan, but if they've got any guidance from Joe at HCT, I'm definitely giving it a shot.

    - Hoof Hearted Brew Pub will be opening at Jeffrey Park this Summer
    - Dick's Last Resort is going into the old Tavern on Front Street location next to Buca in Arena District (not that excited about this one)
    - Roosevelt Coffeehouse is going in at 300 E. Long in the next month, I believe.
    - Pigskin Brewing just opened last week in Gahanna
    - Lino (new Cameron Mitchel restaurant) is scheduled to open in October in the Columbus Museum of Art
    - Tavernesque Bar at 260 South Fourth Street is supposed to open in May by the owners of Bodega
    - Next door to that will be Mikey's new stand alone restaurant and bar. These two places will be adjacent, but across the street, from 16-Bit Bar.
    - Knotty Pine Brewing is re-opening at it's old location on West Third in Grandview, replacing Rude Dog.

    Anywho, that's what I've gathered the past couple of weeks. It sounds like the Northstar Cafe that was planned for Upper Arlington probably won't be happening (or at least not in the spot that was planned), so that's a bummer.

    As of January 28th, Organic Trails Cafes llc (Northstar Cafe) and the City of Westerville Planning Commission are still discussing the rezoning and demolition of the 24 W. Plum Street residence for the 109 S. State Street location.

    Great info! I don't think Dick's Last Resort will survive here. Like others previously stated, it's usually found in touristy destinations. I ate at the one in Myrtle Beach when I was 26, and even then it was way too juvenile for me. Plus, they sat my party of six at a huge table with another group of people we didn't know. Luckily the group was from Cincy, so we had a little something in common, but it was an awkward situation, and in 8 trips since to Myrtle, I have NEVER been back. Maybe if the place is in business in three or four years (unlikely,) I'll take my son and a group of his friends there for either his twelfth or thirteenth birthday. That's about the age that sometime would be able to find the place amusing.

    @ Jackie H., there currently is a Vietnamese place in Clintonville - try Lieu's Asian Cuisine.  Despite the generic name, the proprietors are Vietnamese, and the Vietnamese food is pretty solid.

    I was heading down E. Broad for lunch and saw a sign for a Sababa Mediterranean Grill opening up where the old Steak Escape used to be (As you're getting closer to Blacklick). I'm not sure what it is, but I found that they have locations in Texas and offer a lunch buffet. It looked like it would be opening soon.

    Anyone know of the Pho place that has opened (or is opening) on Grandview Ave? I believe in the old Jobu Ramen spot. I was driving down that street today and noticed it, but didn't catch the name...it was ___ ___ Pho. There was a small "Now Hiring" sign in the window, so I'm not sure if it's open or about to open.

    Just walked past the out of biz Old Bag next to the Butcher & Grocer on 1st Ave in Grandview. The "Harvest Tavern & Pizzeria" sign is up! Soooo excited about this opening. Someone at the Butcher said they're aiming for sometime in July.

    Also, Wild Ginger is coming to the Costco plaza near Plain City.  Also Aldi.  Both have signs up and are under construction, so I expect them to be open in a month or so.  And I've heard there's going to be a sports bar eventually.

    Get Air is cool, but I like the place off Brice Road better because since it's off the beaten path, it's a lot more laid back. The Get Air in Hillard is strict. I know you've reviewed both. Your thoughts?
