We held a two day offsite work event at The Estate and it was great. The food was top notch for both days. I had to really compliment the bourbon glazed flank steak. It was cooked perfectly and tasted like something you could order from
      A 5 star restaurant.

The facilities are new and immaculate. The furnishings are very modern yet rustic. Think Restoration Hardware vibe.... Overall it was a great experience and I'd recommend it for work events.

The venue is very nice for the wedding I attended. The tables were decorated beautifully and there was a nice sign with all guests names and the table they were to sit at. That said, we found the food to be very disappointing. While the salads were good, the chicken was dry and the pasta had no taste; plus, each entree had almost no sauce ! On to the matter of the rolls ... each person at the table received 1/2 of a roll but one person at our table didn't take one. So a short time later my young niece asked if she could have another roll, so I asked the server and she said she'd see if they had any left ! What? I couldn't believe my ears, especially when she came back and said they indeed didn't have any. Of all things, NO MORE ROLLS. unbelievable.
Later I had a few of the cookies but they weren't very tasty either.

My husband and I got married at The Estate December 2021. While we had a wonderful time at our wedding, this was largely thanks to the hard work we put in ourselves. The employees of The Estate did not live up to our expectations and disappointed us over and over again.

When we arrived for our rehearsal, the staff refused to help guide us through the rehearsal and instead went to their office and ignored us for the rest of our time there. As an event coordinator, we expected guidance and information to be given at this time to make sure our event went as planned. Instead, I had to step in and run a rehearsal with no preparation.
The day of the event, my maid of honor stopped by to set up a few items that we had spoken with The Estate about previously. When she asked the staff questions she was treated very rudely being told "that it's not their job to help her" and then going back to chatting in the office. While I understand there are things The Estate will not do for set up, it felt unnecessary to disregard the bridal party when she simply had a few quick questions to ask. Before the ceremony, one Estate staff popped in and told us everyone would be seated soon and she would come get us momentarily but they never came back. We were waiting in the bride's suite when the officiant eventually came in panicking asking why we weren't lined up. I saw the event coordinators only two other times in the night when they opened the doors to the ceremony space and to the reception hall. Aside from this, they were nowhere to be found if we were to need assistance or to help the event flow as planned. The next time I saw them was during clean up where they quickly rushed us out.

To name some specific issues we had:
      - We were told staff would be wearing masks, they weren't aside from a handful.
      - We were told they would assist in moving an arch and garland from the ceremony space to the reception hall; they didn't and the bridal party instead had to.
      - We purchased the "warm & toasty package" and were not informed that the fire pit had broken. They set up additional warming lamps in its place but they didn't speak with us about any of this to see what our preference would be. They had been told to speak with my mother if there were any issues and they chose not to.
      - The wrong wine was ordered that we paid additionally for.
      - Multiple times throughout our planning process we had to personally run all of the numbers that we were being charged as at two separate occasions they were overcharging us for services. I would hate to think what may be happening to other couples who do not notice these frequent mistakes.

The only reason why I am giving The Estate a review above one star is because of the other vendors that work with the venue.
      - The baker, Michelle, made an incredibly delicious cake and was so careful to detail when adding the cake flowers. It was truly beautiful.
      - Serendipity Designs helped transform the indoor ceremony space to a dreamy romantic space.
      - Fiori Florals were great to work with, creating beautiful centerpieces at reasonable prices.
      - DJ Mike took on the role of event coordinator, helping us keep things on track and giving us great advice to create a fun atmosphere. My only recommendation for others here is to be very upfront about your music preferences. If you are particular about what songs you want to hear, make sure to emphasize this with him. He did play mostly random songs he was choosing for the first hour and a half of the dance floor being open. I had to go talk with him to ask him to go back to playing the songs we had requested. Unfortunately, it was so late into the event that there was no longer time for some of our must play songs.

While The Estate is an all inclusive venue who markets themselves as "comprehensive and stress-free", in reality they do not provide the guidance expected. If you are looking for a venue in which you will be running the show, this could be a fine venue for you, otherwise I would steer clear as you won't get what is advertised.

Attended a wedding here in New Albany, and not only did the guests as a whole have a poor experience, the bride and groom were dragged through a number of heartless interactions with the staff throughout the entire planning process.

We were not allowed to enter the venue at all or get seated prior to a certain time. I understand that a time needs agreed upon so that staff can prepare and have food ready, however, when we were finally allowed in, our food was already at the table, dry and refrigerator cold. We were not allowed to have buffet style food, which is understandable during a pandemic, but the solution to this was to pile a helping of all random entree choices all together on one plate.

The bride and groom requested more tables to keep their guests socially distanced and feeling comfortable. While the venue HAD the items on hand, the couple would have been charged more for additional seating. The venue prides itself on being all about the bride and doing above and beyond to make couples happy, yet a bride and groom who have already had their entire wedding process ruined by COVID-19 are going to be charged extra for trying to make accommodations? Ridiculous. Heartless. It's TABLES. That were ALREADY THERE. You all are sick.

The DJ refused to play the couple's wedding playlist because "some of the songs might inspire people to dance." Would not even play the MUSIC despite the fact that NO ONE was dancing. No one was even up. I can understand stepping in and shutting things down and changing the music if we WERE dancing, but no.

The bar was a joke. The bartenders refused to serve any drink that the groom asked to have made despite the fact that bar packages with specific desired drinks were agreed upon in a contract prior to the reception. Although the contract states that no alcohol is to be served thirty minutes prior to the event ending, the bartenders cleaned up early, turned the lights off, and walked away EARLY. A bridal party guest wanted a coffee at the end of the night and one of the wait staff had to hunt someone down to get it. The bartender then proceeded to rudely sit at the dark, shut down bar and glare at us the rest of the night while sitting on her phone. I SINCERELY hope she wasn't paid to sit and judge the party that she was supposed to be serving. Horrible.

Lastly - Governor Dewine made his new orders mere WEEKS before the reception was meant to take place. Naturally, over half of the guests backed out at the last minute. The bride and groom were left with low party numbers in day's leading up to their celebration, and The Estate staff CHARGED THEM for not meeting minimum guest requirements. DURING A PANDEMIC. When THE GOVERNOR ORDERED Ohioans to stay home and out of staters to stay away. Are you KIDDING ME? Do you think they WANTED low numbers? You're really going to preach that you're all about following state guidelines, but when the bride and groom follow suit in doing so, you take advantage and rip them off for their money? Your business is beyond atrocious.

Brides - if you're looking to have anything you actually want and don't want to be treated like a nuisance, avoid this place. Don't even look at it.

I was really looking forward to having our wedding here, however my husband was transferred across the country by the military. We gave about 9 months notice and provided his orders and they refused to refund us anything. We had to call and email multiple times to even get a response. The coordinator refused to contact or put us in contact with the owner to discuss the situation. She flat out said "No" and essentially hung up on us. If you look at their responses to numerous poor reviews they refuse to take responsibility for their bad business practices even when they validate what the review stated. It's honestly sad. They are not military friendly.

This was the worst wedding venue I have ever experienced. I was scheduled to look at the venue and they never showed even with a confirmation email for the date and time. They took my number and didn't even call or email to apologize for the inconvience they caused my family and I. We drove over an hour in order to come see this venue and even had family take off work in order to make the scheduled time. They were very unprofessional and will never recommend anyone booking with them, such terrible service and communication.

Rude and uncaring. If you don't want to help people feel special for the most important day of their lives, you shouldn't be in this business. These people are all about getting their cute little Instagram pictures and then raking in your money. What happens in between all that they couldn't care less about. Go be influencers if you wanna take cute pics and get paid to be cold hearted. I don't understand anyone having a nice experience here.

Yelp decided to remind me that businesses are "doing their best" during Covid times and to take this into consideration. You got it, Yelp! Let it be known that right off the bat, The Estate is quick to twist GOVERNMENT MANDATES to, you guessed it!, charge people MORE MONEY to downsize the wedding event when this ISNT the couple's choice. Wonder how the authorities would feel about this thieving business charging those who FOLLOW GOVERNMENT and CDC ORDERS. Plain wrong.

We had our wedding here.. I'd give it 2.5 stars. On wedding day, the bridal suite had no paper towels in the bathroom, one of my bridesmaids had to go find the event coordinator because my hands were dripping wet after using the facilities and washing my hands, only to find there were no towels to dry them! What in the world?!
The DJ that was part of the venue package was given a specific list of songs to play months before our wedding. We had multiple meetings with him beforehand where we expressed our upmost desire for him to stick to the list of songs we gave him: on wedding night he played MAYBE 25% of the list the entire night.
We had multiple meetings beforehand with the event coordinator as well. In one of our meetings we were told that the desert table we were going to have at our reception would be set up with a nice, multi-level display. On wedding day that "multi-level display" was simply, a table with a cloth over it, and the plastic containers (that the treats were delivered in) just put on the table. Super disappointing.
The satin table cloths that were used, and included in the package, were put on the tables without being pressed first! In ALL of our reception pictures that include the tables, they look awful, the head table looked the worst..creases and lines all over the table cloth where it had been folded and just unfolded then placed directly on the tables. Super disappointing. For as the amount of money it costs have a wedding here, these things should have NEVER happened.
The food was quite good, but watch for hidden fees everywhere.
Because it was our wedding- of course that made it awesome , and the convenience of everything being in one spot made it nice too. Overall, I would not recommend this place for a wedding, for a business event, it may be better.

A local blogger recently got married here and on her Instagram, she posted lots of videos of people violating the COVID guidelines. It's businesses like this who are not following the safety guidelines that are hurting all of those who are and putting all of us at risk.
