Came here during happy hour on Friday! Had a few seats left when we sat down at 730 PM, but then quickly filled up. Drinks and food are super cheap during happy hour ($10 drinks, $8 per dish) especially for Valley Fair. Super nice ambiance (and super beautiful bathroom!! check it out).

Most of the dishes were not that good but the drinks were delicious and strong! Definitely worth coming here to check it out and spend a date night or time with your friends :)

      FOOD:
      - Firecracker shrimp (3/10): Shrimp are plump but don't taste fresh, and were covered in mayo
      - Wangz (7/10) : The best dish that we got but also wasn't too special! Your normal salt and pepper wings but not as a high quality
      - Drunken Chicken (7/10): Pretty juicy chicken that sort of tastes like Hainan chicken with a bit more flavor!
      - Three little duck bites (6/10): Decent bites with duck but nothing mindblowing!

      DRINKS:
      - We tried all of them and there wasn't a single one that we didn't like! 10/10!!

Great prices for the ambiance, a perfect spot for date night or with friends! It's situated on the ground level of the mall, beneath iChina.

We only tried the happy hour menu, but there was also a full menu to order from. Drinks are the highlight, with cocktails only $10 each, and honestly some of my favorite cocktails I've tried in the bay so far. The happy hour menu food fell a little flat, but at $8 a dish, it's still pretty worth a try. My favorite dish of the ones we tried is probably the fried chicken wings.

We came around 7:30pm, but were notified pretty shortly that kitchen was having last call for ordering which was a bit surprising. Ambiance, with special shoutout to the restroom, are both so beautiful, highly recommend a visit!

Bougie, but for all the right reasons!!

HH is a MUST here! Not a super cheap HH tho, & portions remain a bit small - BUT it's well worth it since you get to try a bunch of dishes & indulge in what they're really known for...their intricate cocktails!

Located in the bustling Valley Fair Mall Dining alley - this place is hard to miss with its rich Emerald Green color. Important to note - JiuBa is the more "casual" tapas/cocktail lounge bar (downstairs) VS. the main dining and more formal restaurant, I-China located right above (upstairs).

Even if JiuBa is supposed to be the more "casual" version - the interior is anything BUT that. It's fully decked out in a BOLD Emerald Green & Gold combo...from ceiling to floors to the bar to the bathroom to everything! And you'd think it'd be Gaudy...but it's actually fn beautiful. It's pretty much Wizard Of Oz, Emerald city...brought to life!

Menu is Asian fusion tapas and meant to be shared although def. Small portions so beware to not come too hungry (LOL for them other hangry girlies like me). Light bites is pretty much what it is, && then just make room for all the yummy drinks to be had instead! Service is always attentive and nice when I've come. Def a great place for girl catchups or intimate date night drinks!

Cocktail Highlights - the drinks here are pricey (with or without HH) but it's such a well crafted and complex cocktail that's WORTH it. My fave for HH is their Tea'z me which is an oolong whiskey with a yummy egg white froth to lighten it up. The Blossom and Lychee drinks are both also tasty, more light and refreshing. Tropic like it's hot was also good, more tart overall. Lost in Shanghai was strong as it should be, but really loved the unique pandan infusion here. The only cocktail that was a bit too forward for me was the pandan coconut cream which started to taste like curry to me (lol) but that's prob. just a me problem :)

Food Highlights - recently had their smaller dimsum collection trio which for what it was, is a bit pricey (and small) BUT so tasty! The texture for each piece was soooo flaky & buttery, while the filling was super flavorful and all unique from one another. Some of the older dishes I've had that were also good was the crudo & shrimp toast (really hoping they bring this back), while the sampler board and chicken crispy taro dish were ok.

I was here for a Yelp Elite event and I want to take my friend here during the holidays for some cocktails and dim sum. This is more affordable than their restaurant but you're still in a gorgeous setting. The crispy dim sum that comes with 3 different ones is good! The cocktails can be made into mocktails and they are pretty and delish. Nice for celebrating the holidays or other occasions.

Came here on Friday to celebrate International Women's Day. I live for happy hours because they're affordable and a great way to experience new places.
I'm always at the mall but never been to iChina/JiuBa. Decided to check it out and it was beautiful. The decoration was just beautiful and the bathroom? So fancy!

I got their tea'z me cocktail which was an oolong-infused whisky cocktail. It was pretty good but I'm not really a fan of whiskey so it came off a little strong tasting. Their soft shell crab was yummy as well as their salt and pepper wings. The cucumber salad lacked taste. It wasn't "pickled" enough if that makes sense. It just tasted like the cucumbers were literally just cut and immediately brought out. Didn't really have that marinated taste like other cucumber salads. We also got their crispy dim sum platter which was alright.

The service was good! The female there was very nice and helped us.

Crispy dim sum collection, soft shell crab salad, spicy cucumber salad, salt & pepper chicken wings, and tea'z me.

      - This review is solely on their happy hour -

I've came here 3x so far for their happy hour (and their afternoon tea) and was pleasantly surprised on all occasions!! I recommend making reservations in case it gets busy during the hours you plan to go, especially if you will have a larger party. The ambiance is so bougie I love it, and the bathroom is so interesting! You get your own individual little egg stall lol IYKYK.

I basically tried all the items on their happy hour menu, along with a few cocktails. Here are a few of my favorites:
      - salt & pepper chicken wings: SO flavorful and delicious. It comes with 5 pieces and a great sharable.
      - pork dumpling: reminds me of a siu-mai and has an interesting kumquat sauce. I like it!
      - stuff prawns: get this, trust me. It is soooooo good.
      - the Blossom cocktail: the perfect drink that is both sweet, fruity, and you don't get a strong alcoholic taste. It's also very pretty in a martini glass and a lavender sprig on top.

The afternoon tea comes in a really pretty structure that has a variety of beautiful pastries. This set pairs with a tea and our server was extra attentive and very helpful in helping us decide which tea to go with that'll taste best with the menu :). We also got a dim sum sampler on the side and they were really good, but the portion sizes were on the smaller side.

I would say that outside of happy hour, the normal menu prices sit on the higher end (which is why I knocked down 1 star) and not quite worth the dollar value in my opinion. SO if you're interested in this place, definitely come check it out during happy hour!

Came to JiuBa to check out their happy hour. We ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings (4/5), pork dumplings (3/5 - not bad but you only get 4 dumplings), wagyu fried rice (3/5 - also not bad but not really worth it for $16), and the prawns (3/5 - not at all what we were expecting, really more like a deep-fried shui mai).

We also got the street styled iced tea and tea'z me, both $10.

Overall, we enjoyed our time. Per all the photos, iChina and JiuBa are decorated nicely with a posh interior aesthetic. Our table was pretty big, and the chairs are plush and comfy. The bathroom is also a bit fancy. Service was fine as well, and we were seated immediately upon arriving.

The decor is absolutely beautiful!! I came for happy hour on a Wednesday and it was fairly empty. Small bites were $6 and drinks $10. They also have a larger regular menu, with items on the pricier side.

The food itself was okay. My favorites were the cucumber salad and the salt and pepper chicken wings. The soft shell crab was good, but there were only three actual pieces of crab. The fried chicken had tiny dry pieces of chicken that were mostly batter - I don't recommend this dish. Drinks were yummy but not very strong. I liked the taste of both The Blossom and Buddha's Belly.

I'd come again for the ambiance and nice pics, but probably only during HH. Don't forget to check out the bathroom.

Jiuba and ichina have beautiful decor and perfect ambiance for date nights but soo overpriced! We came on a Friday night and there was only 1 other table seated. My bf got the moon rabbit and I got the cloud rose drink- presentation was so cute! Both our drinks were sweet and weren't very alcohol forward. For the price, I wish the drinks had more alcohol in them. The drinks took 15 min to come out which was pretty long considering we were 1 of 2 tables there.

They serve food here but I thought the food at ichina very mid + overpriced so we only got drinks. I think the food menu for jiuba is different from ichina but they have a lot of dishes for a cocktail lounge!

Everyone loves the bathrooms at ichina/jiuba but I thought the jiuba one was a bit dirty.. might be because it was the end of the night.

You're paying for the ambiance when you come here so it's definitely worth a try for the experience! I didn't know about happy hour so I would go back during HH but probably won't pay full price again.

Came with the gals solely for the happy hour. They have a good selection of drinks available for happy hour, which if you check online is for like, the majority of Friday (along with other days). The lychee one was to die for. The food was just alright - favorite was the spicy cucumber dish. Service felt kind of slow even though it was fairly empty, but the beautiful interior and general ambiance made up for it. Tip: go to the bathroom because it's definitely an experience LOL!
