Would take less time to fly to the islands than it does to get your food made at this place. Rude and quite honestly a pigsty with "pending grade" on their sanitary grade. Might help if the cook did less dancing and singing. Ask how much longer for the food and get more attitude. Eat here at your own risk and detriment. They don't even use sanitary gloves.

Jerk off is right. When you load your car full of your food, use the parking space 15 feet away, don't block the entire line of cars waiting for your ignorant brains to finally load after six runs in & out of the restaurant. HINT: a restaurant builds trust and relationships within the community through reliability, trust and understanding. When you demonstrate ignorance and selfishness, it leaves an awful after-taste. Wake up.

Let me begin with saying my entire order was high class trash just despicable. Barely edible. idk if the guy in the truck chopped up a beaver and new york city rat and tried to serve it to me but let me tell you now it was Horrible. I rather lick the subway train tracks. The price way too high. I feel scammed. I was charged for garbage. Shut it down!! To think I'm Jamaican. This is a poor depiction on island food on a whole. He would be run out of Jamaica and banned for life if he ever tried to sell that type of rubbish to anyone. The festival i ordered was like chewing on hardened playdough and i have kids so i know. The beef patty $10 ... come on really GMO. bean paste not meat. tasted like spicy bean paste. I didn't even want to give the food to the homeless. don't buy from here. don't go here save your money. Zero stars. Like Gordon Ramsey would say SHUT IT DOWN.

A complete lack of care from A to Z, including service, the meal (Chicken, rice and beans, and Mac n Cheese) all cold and dry.
In addition, writing this with insomnia and hives due to the amount of MSG...
I love supporting small businesses, yet this one deserves exactly what it gives-nothing.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Marisa G.Bethesda, MD1546Apr 6, 2024

Try: Oxtail with Mac & Cheese!
Why: The Oxtail was tender, juicy, fall-off-the-bone deliciousness and the stew naturally mixed in with the Mac & Cheese was really good! I also tried the Jerk Chicken Pasta Alfredo, which was good. The chicken was a wee bit dry and I wish there was a wee bit more alfredo sauce. As sides, I got the corn-on-the-cob, 2 piece festival (Jamaican dumplings), plantains, and a beef patty. They were all great additions adding so much flavor and textures to the meal. I especially liked the festival because it was crispy on the outside, and soft and sweet on inside like cornbread. The plantains I saved for my last few bites since it was sweet and juicy.
Notes: Overall, a super solid Jamaican/Caribbean restaurant on the UES that offers delivery. The delivery fee for me was $2.99, not $4.99 as shown. Well worth it because my taste buds were satisfied! I can't wait to try their curry and seafood dishes!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Krystal S.Manhattan, New York, NY036Apr 26, 2023
Yesterday I placed an order, the order was missing an item that was replaced. Instead of the Rasta pasta, an employee packed lettuce & grape tomatoes in a small plastic container. I called, the employee was very NASTY and said: "I can send you Rasta Pasta tomorrow" the Manager comes to the phone (lesha) apologizes for the Mis-hap and tells me she will comp. the order; i will receive a free order, she said I have 30 days to place the order & she will inform the employees of the situation. That was very professional, she handled the situation wonderfully.
I placed the call today, 04/26/2023. Of course (Iesha the Manager) isn't available. I explained to the employee the situation, I was put on hold, then another employee came to the phone, very NASTY, and told me what I was saying was incorrect, and I'm only to receive the Rasta Pasta! The same thing the NASTY employee said to me yesterday. I felt so disrespected and disappointed by my own people, I hung up. A few moments later, I received a callback from the same employee asking for my address. The FULL order was on its way.
Her behavior is so disgusting, her "customer service" will definitely bring down the business. My son orders from there a lot, this is my second time and my LAST time. I don't have to spend my hard earned money at places who don't value you as a customer. That employee needs more training but I doubt that would work, she should be terminated.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bo L.Manhattan, NY510414Dec 2, 2022
Most dry, meat-less beef patty I've ever had, and expensive at $6.53 each when their sign says $5 each.
If the patty is a barometer, I am not coming back.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
