Q:
Does anyone know the Sunday brunch menu?
A:
If you look at the pictures someone posted a copy of a brunch menu - it's like the 7th or 8th customer photo. They also have it on their website.
Alexandra A.ÂQ:
Is there a children's menu?
A:
No there isn't. Lots of burgers though!

Hilltop Park Alehouse is one of the go-to places for social gatherings in Washington Heights. I've been here twice: the first was for a Columbia grad student orientation happy hour, the second was for a work lunch. The food is honestly pretty good here! I remember enjoying the food that was served during the happy hour and more recently, I really liked the salmon burger.
Would I come here on my own? Probably not as I'm not a heavy drinker and the interior is not my vibe, so dark and brown lol. But since it seems to a fixture in the neighborhood for those working at Columbia, I will probably end up going to Hilltop many more times in the future through my participating of work events. I'm not complaining though because they make some awesome food here and it's a close walk from where we work. Here's to Hilltop!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 11, 2024
Came here for a work function on a Friday &
I enjoyed our time, food & drinks.
Food is good, it was served buffet style. we got 2 designated waiter to get our drink orders. We occupied 8 tables & they did their best to bring our drinks as fast as they could! Drinks were strong too.
Place not too loud & we can carry conversation without straining our voices. I appreciate that.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mike F.New York, NY601881594Jul 31, 20241 check-in
Anytime you see "alehouse" in the name... be ready to be underwhelmed. And hilltop fits the bill. The menu is your typical Applebees style food, just meh and very boring. Wings, burgers, salad. All the usual food these places are known to serve. The service was very good, two servers working a very full dining area. The interior has lots of momentos from New Yorks years past which is a nice touch. Food wise, if you changed the name to Applebees or Chili's, you wouldn't notice a difference.

I went here for brunch on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty empty and we did not have to wait for a table. They had live music while we were there which made the vibe much more lively.
For brunch, they have a bottomless drink option with the purchase of an entree which was a nice option for drinks. They were a bit slow on refilling the drinks but the food was decent for the price.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Justean D.Manhattan, New York, NY402724Jun 4, 2024

Hilltop Alehouse is an absolute GEM of the Washington Heights neighborhood. I've been there many times at this point, and frankly I'm surprised I haven't written a review yet. Particular highlights during my many visits (although the menu does change seasonally) are the mussels, the fig and brie flatbread, the mushroom flatbread, and (this item has been a staple) the Hilltop BURGER. It's one of the top 3 burgers I've had in the city, a decadent treasure that makes you wonder why it's hidden up in the heights!
The staff is also amazing - some friends had a surprise engagement here and they were so enthusiastic and went above a beyond. Can't recommend enough!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jamie B.New York, NY1296189151Mar 21, 2024Updated review
The ambiance is really beautiful and sophisticated feeling and I especially enjoy the lights they have for Christmas time. The only reason we don't come here more often is because of prices. It just feels a little high for a neighborhood joint. Although everything is delicious from the craft drinks to all the food, for example nearly $20 for a plate of Brussels sprouts just feels like a stretch. They have weekly events like trivia, happy hour and occasionally live music-oh, and they decorate their steps seasonally and I think that's so charming. Hilltop definitely stands out in the neighborhood.

Make no mistake, this isn't your corner sports bar...it's chic and not cheap--but it's fabulous. The staff is warm and friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming, and they sometimes have live music which I find myself wandering in off the street to enjoy. Brussel sprouts are divine as are the signature cocktails. Trivia or some other weekly event, perhaps more live music might make this place become even more happening. For now it's my hidden oasis. Very new york. Very lovely. Highly recommended.

Our group of six experienced eaters had an excellent time here as we celebrated a colleague's business kickoff.
Our appetizers were tasty and plentiful. And our entree's, which were served family style were quickly consumed.
This was a great choice and a recommended spot to have a fun meal.
There was a DJ spinning classic hip hop and r&b in the back, adding to the lively uptempo atmosphere.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Keith M.San Diego, CA03414Mar 29, 2024
Stopped here on a whim for lunch and was impressed by the food and service. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful but never intrusive. We tried the grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries, roasted pear flatbread, and popcorn chicken along with a couple of draft beers in our group of 4. Everyone tried all of it and all was universally delicious. Far better than expected. The popcorn chicken especially - you often get premade frozen chicken balls at a bar, but these are clearly house made and tender. Delicious! I will seek this place out if I'm in the area again soon.

Sunday brunch with my wife. The ambience was very nice. We will return soon. I had eggs Benedict with spinach came with with home fries free as and greens. Thick cut bacon on the side (I expected thicker but not complaining). My wife had the salmon burger with fries. Portion size was great. The food was delicious. The service was exceptional. Our server, Cardinal, was friendly, welcoming and attentive. We will return based on the friendly service alone.
