We've lived here for four years (myself, my husband, and our pooch) and have LOVED IT. We even convinced friends of ours to move into the complex for two years because we raved about it so much. I have nothing but good things to say, with the caveat that we got really lucky with our unit and have a HUGE patio. We are in a downstairs "flat" (as opposed to the more common townhome style apartments) so the patio is twice as wide as most people's. One of the laundry rooms is just a few steps outside our patio door, so even though we have washer/dryer hookups we never bothered getting them. We have made so many priceless memories with our friends on our beautiful patio and our cozy apartment, and I will be so sad to move out in a month! I hope whoever gets our unit next loves it as much as we have.
Maintenance and the grounds crew are always around, they work very hard and are very quick to respond to any needs. The landscaping is beautiful because they are always out there taking such good care of everything. The front office staff is great, and there is a feature where you can have rent auto billed out of your bank account every month which I love, so there is no fear of forgetting to drop off your check.
The complex is incredibly pet friendly - I swear nearly every person there has a dog, and there is a little dog park at the back (although the fence posts are too far apart to contain my 8 lb. dog, but it would be great for medium dogs). The location cannot be beat - right off 71 and High Street, but still very quiet because it is tucked back from the busy roads. The only downside to that is the roads going out to Morse never get plowed and are very treacherous in the winter, but that isn't Georgetown's fault. I always go out the front through the strip mall parking lot to avoid that problem.
If it isn't clear enough, 10/10 would recommend. I will be sad to say goodbye!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Courtney W.Port Orange, FL60388224Aug 11, 2013Updated review
This place was nice when we moved in, crappy after a few months, and horrible as we were trying to move out. Management has fallen to crap pretty much and honestly don't care about who you are; long term tenant or brand new. They don't care when it's winter and your freezing and they certainty dont care if your a day behind on rent (they will fine you hard). They don't care about things like bugs or dog poop all over the property. They don't care about you. They never will. But it wasn't until we were moving out that we finally saw just how bad this place it.
We were standing in our Penske truck loading up all our stuff and a few of our neighbors who we weren't lucky enough to meet until our last night show up to say goodbye. About 10 people passed us that night and all were unhappy with management and how their apartment was 'holding up.' All of these people differed in age and financial situations. Some were saving for a house, some had been there 15+ years. All of them unhappy. People don't like being jipped out of hard earned money, no matter your financial situation, and the horrors I heard from these people were eye opening to say the least.
One person thought the higher rent ($850-$1100) was affordable and loved living their but figured they could fine a better place to call home, wishing for a friendlier staff who cared about them as people. Most, on the other hand, were long term (one lady was with them for 15 years...15!) and was horrified with being 'pushed out' of her second home their; she had moved from one of the condos into an apartment after her husband died and now management was forcing her, once again, to find a new home; this time away from her beloved garden apartment. HORRIBLE!!
One person I met was disgusted, down right pissed off, with the leasing office saying ''he's never been treated so horribly in his entire life.'' This man has been around all of Columbus trying to find a nice place to live that (all he wants) is safe and affordable. He finally thought he found it here but ''apparently not.'' We asked him for details but it was along the lines of how rude the staff was and that maintenance never cleans up the area and never returns his service requests. He also had an apt in the back and said that cars were always getting broken in to.
For higher end rent outside the city, this is a disgrace to call home. The only reason I gave two stars was for the wonderful patio area I was able to have. Tip- if you have a dog, don't bother telling them. You'll not only pay out the nose for damages (that aren't there) when you move out but they base what breed you have by Google pictures. I have a mut so I was kicked out because she looks like a banned breed. My vet papers say mut and I wasn't willing to shell out big money for a dog dna test. Needless to say, they treat you like inmates here while wearing the fakest smiles you can imagine.
I had a gap in my gate (to the patio) that small dogs could get through, and stray cats, and raccoons, ...etc. I complained to the office, explaining that small dog (thanks to their owners) were letting their dogs under my gate and my dog was growling at them... I got in trouble, not the other owners. I asked for them to fix my gate and it took MONTHS for them to finally get over and patch a hole. HORRIBLE!
At the end, which is worth adding, be prepared for fee's. I left that apt spotless and I got charged for a whole apt worth of carpeting because they dug it all up and happened to find stains. My carpet was spotless and professionally cleaned. The only stains that may have been there are from water since we ate in our kitchen. (like spilled glasses of water or whatnot) The rug guy said it could be blood stains ...wtf... how incriminating to throw that at one of your tenants. It made me feel like such a criminal....blood stains!? Did an ax murderer live there before me!?!?
I glad I moved out when I did. Such a horrible a vibe from these people. I love the neighbors but the people here are very private so don't expect a loving neighborly atmosphere. I was making a garden bed at 5pm, since it was raining that morning, and this old guy comes out his window and starts screaming at me that I'm being too loud and need to stop. I apologized and explained what I was doing, that I had to grow my own food to save money and he slammed his window shut at me. Some people here, most, are older and don't like it ''rowdy'' so younger couples beware. I don't think I saw any kids here, apart from maybe one family. Not a very kid friendly place.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Oct 10, 2012Previous reviewIt's been 7 months now since we moved in and Ive noticed some things that I didnt before. For one thing, the place isnt as clean and put together as it seems. Most of the property are condos. I live in one of the apartments here and the apartments are nice; nice big patios/balconies. But the condos....people just dont take care of them. Their yards are such a mess and full of garbage that living here makes me feel uncomfortable. Not to say the neighbors arent nice. I love my neighbors, but again, I dont live in one of the condos.
It's a great place to walk my dog, lots of paths and such makes it great and keeps it interesting. I hate boring walks...who does? Dogs and cats are welcome here but they do have their rules, however stupid they seem to you. Dogs come in multiple sizes and multiple breeds, but a dog is a dog is a dog. Management likes to think that just because one is deemed unsafe it means you shouldn't be along to have them. Seems fair...a dangerous dog shouldn't be along to be in an apartment. The issue with this is who decides which dogs are dangerous. When you first sign your lease (this applies to condos as well) they ask you to submit pictures of your dog so they can have it on file. Then, despite what your knowledge of your dog is, they decide its breed and level of danger based on that picture....so chose wisely! If I knew that my dog would be classified as a dangerous pitbull I dont think I would have given them a picture. Besides...couldn't you just give them any picture?? A Doberman could be passed off as a yorkie in this case. Not that I have any issue with Pitbulls. Not at all. Theyre nice dogs. My issue is that despite my vet clarifying that my dog is a mixed breed dog, these people refused to except it. I have seen other dogs on this property that appear to have some pit in them and they havent been evicted nor even threatened. Although the condo with this particular dog seems in friends with management so I guess that's a mute point. Be careful here. If you think your lab mix might have a little bit of banned dog blood in it...run for dear life! They have made our lives much less enjoyable since we submitted that picture. To make it worse..to be told "we wish we didn't allow you to move in" hurts. Why anyone would be so heartless is beyond me.
To base a dogs breed solely on a picture and to ignore your vet's proof is just stupid. I'm glad we'll be moving. The rent is too high anyway; something we did not realize when we first moved here. Coming from the east coast we though it was a deal but $855 for a tiny 2 bedroom here is ridiculous! Esp to have management that treats you like a felon! Who knows how far my rateing for this will fall before I leave here. I honestly dont know. - Troy S.Columbus, OH8925Jan 17, 2016
I have lived at Georgetown since July 2005, the staff are friendly and helpful. They have always accommodated me, for example one time I was going to be without heat for the weekend and they provided me with a heater to get me by, they have also helped me with other things and are very understanding. The neighbors mainly keep to themselves but I do know a few. I think if I would ever move it would be do to financial reasons and nothing personal.

We lived at Georgetown for 15 years. All of those were great years! The staff has been awesome and they fix problems right away. Loved the apartment and the convenience of the stores. I would move back in a heartbeat!

Georgetown was my home for over three years and I cried when I turned in my keys. The grounds and apartments are appealing and Management/Maintenance were always quickly responsive. A pet-friendly community was critical for me and every effort is made to make it easy to practice healthy dog hygiene. I miss my neighbors and the cozy feeling. Even though my move was for positive reasons, I would live at Georgetown again happily.

I needed a place to live fast and I was bringing with me two little dogs. There weren't a ton of options in clintonville but they are very pet friendly here, providing a dog park, paths and baggies for you. The staff here is great. I was moving under unpleasant circumstances and they made my move in to the new community as smooth as possible. They were very accommodating to me. Anytime I called with an issue the leasing manager, Jennifer, took care of it right away. They are super nice and do what they can to help people out especially after getting to know several of the people that live here I can say with all honesty the staff here is also very patient. They went out of there way to get to know tenants. They had several resident appreciation days where they would provide breakfast and lunch and also had a few pool parties where they supplied a DJ, food and prizes. They really care about their tenants and it showed with how they treated me. I loved that there was on site maintenance and they were great also. This helped if something broke they'd be right over to fix it. Steve, the head maintenance guy always went out of his way to come pet my dogs and play with them when we were on walks. This is important to me bc my dogs are my life. Don't like my dogs, I don't like you! Another bonus is that its quiet here, not a lot of kids and the tenants are generally pretty friendly. I loved living here and highly recommend it!
