      I loved:
      $23 Angry Tiger Prawn

      I really liked:
      $19 Baked Brie
      $21 Grilled Apple Arugula Salad

      I liked:
      $38 Bone In Pork Chop

The #goodeats here are a bit pricey, but the quality of the Angry Tiger Prawns and Baked Brie justifies the cost.

Service is attentive and professional, striking a good balance between attentiveness and allowing diners to enjoy their meals.

Firehouse 1 has a spacious layout, including pleasant outdoor seating. They manage to feel bustling without being overcrowded.

Love this place, it is such a chill dive-y ambiance with a side of classy. The bone marrow and the shrimp carbonara were soooo delicious. I was stuck between two pastas and the server was telling me about the shrimp cabobara. So I really appreciate their recommendation. I also believe it is a new item?

But I will definitely be dressed to eat a lot next time I come here. I wore a pretty tight outfit (regretfully) and took a lot home, but thankfully the pasta tasted even better at midnight haha.

Ive walked by this place so many times and we finally decided to give it a try and I'm so glad we did!! I've been here pre-Covid for late night drinks but no food. So this was a new experience! We got a bunch of appetizers and shared between three people! Mac and cheese with bacon was delicious I like the spiral noodles because it seemed to grab more of the cheesey goodness. The pear and arugula salad was also delicious- that walnut crusted cheese was a surprising delight! Super light but flavorful dressing and not soggy at all. Tiger prawns were good but not my absolute fave. And the baked Brie wrapped in a super light crunchy pastry with apricot was a must! So good! I want to come back and try the mushroom pasta! Oh also we had some of the happy hour drinks- cucumber mule which was super refreshing and the skinny beaches-very citrusy!

One day we were really craving some good steak and found this restaurant in our search. This place is in the same are as San Pedro Square is with plenty of parking at the parking garage. We went on a weekend night so it was busy but we did get seated right away. Staff was very attentive and we got our food fairly quick. We got some drinks and steaks with some side dishes. Everything was delicious. Our steaks were cooked to our liking. The old fashion was also very good. I will definitely go back here when I crave steak and good drinks again!

This is a San Pedro square staple. Inside seating is pretty cramped. The outside seating gives you a good view of what's going on in the street. They have a full bar.

It's a Gastropub so it's American food - think burgers, pork chops, Nashville hot chicken, chicken wings, steak, bone marrow, etc.

The food is solid. Every now and then they will have something that stands out.

This place is a gem! Cute little restaurant near San Pedro square, with good cocktails and bites. The food was AMAZING! We ordered the salmon, steak frites, and angry prawns. Everything was really good and fresh. The servers were really friendly and helpful. I had ordered a cocktail with gin and the bartender accidentally put mezcal in it, but they were quick to fix it. It was also my friends birthday that night and they gave us a dessert and sang her happy birthday. It was a lovely evening and I highly recommend checking this place out!

My girlfriends and I came here for dinner with a reservation for 8/9 last week to celebrate a friend's achievement with obtaining her bachelor's degree from SJSU. We were seated immediately for our reservation to the back of the pub.

There are a few high bar tables up front by bar, long bar with high chairs and some small and couple of big tables in the back. Pretty small pub and quite intimate. Love that the lighting was not nearly as dim as most restaurants and bars so looking at the menu wasn't hard.

Maddie came to introduce herself and provided us with menus right away. She was prompt and knew the menu to answer our questions as we were hungry. We ordered many dishes (mussles, steak, pasta, salad, truffle fries, calamari, etc) to share between the 6 girls, and we finished it! The food was decent, and some were better than others, but I think we really liked the calamari, and our request for cocktail sauce was made impromptu by the chef as they did not have any available at hand. It was delish!

Overall, good service and food for a good celebration with friends.

Great space, friendly & accommodating waitstaff and bar. We went for a friends birthday and they were able to designate two tables for our party and separate checks. My husband & I shared the bone marrow & pork chops and they provided us plates. The Living La Vida Loca drink had a spicy kick to it which was delicious. My husbands Old Fashioned was just right as well. We wish we had more of the bone marrow, it was so creamy and balanced finely with greens and onion, so tasty!

Amazing experience tonight! We were welcomed by 3 team members upon entry. The crew here acts like a TEAM, we had 4 different team members including the bartender check on us multiple times during our dinner. The bartender talked with us and made us special drinks- even going to the kitchen to get fresh ginger to make a penicillin. The food was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. I had the steak frittes, and my boyfriend had the pork chop, which was so juicy!! The music was just right (not too loud) and they even turned down the AC because it was too cold . 5 stars on everything- food, staff, ambiance. We will definitely be back!

Came during happy hour on a Tuesday and it was completely empty. We were seated outside at a small patio. Service was very attentive and helpful, we were told to use the QR code menu but still order through the waitstaff as they were transitioning systems.

Off the happy hour menu we ordered the Mediterranean mussels (not pictured) and the bacon Mac n cheese. The mussels were nice and the samba sauce was spicy and garlicky, though the included bread didn't have cheese as pictured on the menu. The bacon Mac n cheese was my favorite dish of the night. Though the cheese sauce looked thin at first, it had an amazing savory flavor with lots of bacon and green onion. I don't usually get too excited about Mac n cheese, but this is one I'll be craving in the future.

For entrees, we got to the New York Strip Steak and the Hook & Line Pan Seared Blackened Pacific Red Snapper. We ordered the steak medium but it came more medium well. It was still a nice steak with lots mushroom and black pepper flavor, though the potatoes were a little hard. The snapper was well cooked, though I was bummed they didn't have the pesto mash potatoes as listed in the menu. All in all, I felt the value was fair because the portions were pretty large, especially for DTSJ.

All in all, a great spot for happy hour or dinner!
