The 'Second QB selected in the NFL draft' quiz

A new era is underway for the Washington Commanders with a new head coach in Dan Quinn and a hopefully-franchise quarterback in rookie Jayden Daniels. Daniels, who won the Heisman Trophy last year at LSU before going second overall in the NFL draft, had a decent debut in Week 1 against Tampa Bay. He completed 70.8 percent of his 24 pass attempts for 184 yards and no interceptions or touchdowns. He did make NFL history by adding 88 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, something no quarterback has done in a debut.

“I don’t put a number or anything on how many times I’m going to run and stuff like that,” Daniels said after the game. “I just try to do whatever it takes to help the team win the game.”

Which brings us to today’s quiz. It clearly wasn’t a perfect start for Washington and Daniels, who fell 37-20, but he did lead the offense to 299 total yards (16th-most in Week 1) and didn’t turn the ball over, earning recognition as the NFL's Rookie of the Week. With that being said, can you name the second quarterback taken in every NFL draft since 2000?

Good luck!
