Weddings in Las Vegas 

You’ll need to obtain a license from the Marriage License Bureau, which is open daily from 8 a.m. to midnight, including holidays, before the ceremony. You cannot make an appointment to get your license as the bureau is open for walk-ins only, but it usually takes about 15 minutes to get your license, depending on how busy it is. Both parties must appear together before a clerk. Once you have your paperwork, you’ll just need an officiant licensed in Nevada, a witness, and to provide your IDs to the person performing the ceremony. Many wedding chapels and venues in Las Vegas have a licensed officiant on site, but it’s best to call ahead and confirm so you can make alternative plans if necessary. The Marriage License Bureau is least busy on Sundays and Tuesdays, and the least busy times are between 8-10 a.m. and 8 p.m. to midnight.
