A lot of people are giving Donald Trump a hard time these days — even the coach of the USA Olympic women's basketball team.

Geno Auriemma, who coaches at the University of Connecticut as well as for the Olympic team, took a shot at the Republican nominee in pushing back on claims that Connecticut's recent dominance of the NCAA tournament has been bad for women's basketball.

"We live in that Trumpian era where it’s OK to be sexist and degrade people that are good, just because they’re the opposite sex," Auriemma told reporters in Rio. "We are what we are. We’re never going to apologize for being that good. We’re never going to apologize for setting a standard that other people aspire to achieve."

Like UConn in the collegiate basketball tournament, the Auriemma-led USA women's team is a huge favorite to win the gold medal.
