TLC's Chilli on Left Eye's death: 'I hoped she was pranking us'

It's been a dozen years since Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, one-third of the girl group TLC, died in a car crash in Central America.

Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas chatted with celebrity journalist Allison Kugel about her friend's death, saying that at the time, she thought she and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins were just getting punked, something Left Eye did a lot to her fellow band members.
I’ve had dreams where in the dream she’s alive. But it’s crazy, because in my dream I know that she passed away but when I see her I’m like, 'Oh My God! We have to let everybody know that you’re alive!' It’s like that. I haven’t had one of those dreams in a few months, but that’s how it is when I dream about her. Her passing was definitely one of those times when I hoped she was pranking us. She would do stuff like that. She would just go missing. That was the one time I would have been alright with it if it had been that. Unfortunately, it was not.
And, on a lighter note, Chilli revealed that new TLC music is on the way – we just have to be patient!
I know, it is well overdue. We’re going to talk about this really soon. We have a lot of information we’re about to get out there. We were hoping it would happen a couple weeks ago, but things got changed and it was out of our control. People will get those answers very soon.
