Attorney Rob McCarron

This is a PILF approved event, please email [email protected]. Attorney Rob McCarron is the President of the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities. Prior to his current role, Attorney McCarron was Sr. VP and General Counsel of AICUM and played an essential role in guiding AICUM during the COVID-19 pandemic. Before joining AICUM, Attorney McCarron served as Director of Legal Affairs for the MA House Committee on Ways and Means and as Chief Legal Counsel for the MA House Joint Committee on the Judiciary.

Attorney Allison Blanck, Animal Rescue League of Boston

Allison Blanck is a 2016 graduate of UMass Law and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in November 2016. She also holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Mary Washington. While at UMass Law, Blanck interned for State Senator Mark Montigny (D-New Bedford) and was hired by his office in August of 2016 as a Legislative Aide, later promoted to Deputy General Counsel/Deputy Legislative Director. In her time in the Senators office Blancks legislative portfolio included distracted driving, healthcare, college affordability, and animal welfare. She joined the Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) in September of 2019 as Director of Advocacy. Since 2019 she has worked on policy relating to criminal penalties for animal cruelty, protections for companion animals, improving farm animal welfare, and protection of native wildlife. She has been actively involved with the Massachusetts Bar Associations Animal Law Practice Group since 2021. This is a PILF approved event, email [email protected] with questions.
