A few years ago, one of the biggest bike projects in the Alps was brought into being: the Bike Republic Sölden
A huge cycling network including 17 natural trails and 11 ecologically built lines, signposted enduro routes in the mountains and pump tracks in the valley stretch through Sölden and its surroundings in the Oetztal Alps. A challenge, for example, is the high alpine Fernar Trail, which starts at 2,800 m a.s.l. and leads to the Tiefenbach Glacier, or the 5-hour Enduro Glacier Express Reloaded Tour, with a length of 33 km and approx. 1,600 metres in altitude.
Here, in the Bike Republic Sölden, cycling should become a culture and every cyclist and mountain biker should feel welcome. The cable cars at the Gaislachkogl and at the Giggijoch, with the Langegg Chairlift as a connection in between, transport the bikes upwards. 23 trail builders with four excavators are busy keeping everything in order, four bike schools, six bike shops and 11 bike cleaning facilities are also on hand. Have fun!
