Peoplebox is a versatile tool that has proven to be helpful for managing and organizing work, particularly for remote teams. Users appreciate its user-friendly interface and excellent customer support, making it a valuable tool for HR and managers. One of the key use cases of Peoplebox is goal-setting and tracking, which has had a positive impact on both organizations and individuals. By providing a platform for discussing and improving performance through performance reviews and 1-on-1 sessions, Peoplebox facilitates meaningful conversations to enhance employee engagement and ensure measurable and achievable goals. The software also enables users to give and receive anonymous feedback, helping them understand areas for improvement. Additionally, Peoplebox simplifies the process of tracking OKRs - Objectives and Key Results - by breaking them down into smaller goals, providing clear visibility and accountability at the individual, team, and organizational levels. It also assists in communicating expectations between teams and managers, reducing subjectivity, and ensuring a robust process. Furthermore, users appreciate the ability to track goals and performance on a single platform without the need for spreadsheets or notebooks. Peoplebox integrates with Slack, streamlining employee usage by reducing the need for additional portals. Another notable use case of Peoplebox is in managing complex multi-team OKRs by providing clear visibility and accountability through smaller goals. This simplifies the tracking process and helps in understanding individual progress towards company goals. Overall, Peoplebox is commended for its role in improving communication, collaboration, organization, goal tracking, performance management processes, as well as employee engagement within teams and organizations.

Percentage completion feature: Many users have found the percentage completion feature to be extremely helpful for tracking progress towards goals. They appreciate being able to easily see how much of a goal has been completed and how much is left, which allows them to stay motivated and focused on achieving their objectives.

Team collaboration and reminders: The ability to tag team members for goal reminders and collaboration has received positive feedback from multiple reviewers. Users value this feature as it helps them keep their teammates accountable, promotes better communication, and enhances overall teamwork.

Efficient 1v1s UI: The user interface of the 1v1s feature has been praised by users for its efficiency and valuable insights. Reviewers find it easy to navigate, allowing for productive conversations during one-on-one meetings. With an intuitive layout and well-organized information, users can efficiently track progress, discuss action items, and provide constructive feedback.

Insufficient After-Sale Support: Many users have expressed dissatisfaction with the after-sale support, stating that it has not met their expectations when compared to competitors. They feel that the level of assistance provided by the company falls short and needs improvement.

Limited Integration and Lack of Customization Options: A common drawback mentioned by some users is the limited integration capability of the software along with a lack of customization options. This restricts their ability to tailor the software to their specific needs and integrate it seamlessly with other tools they use.

Need for In-App Meeting Provision: Users have suggested that meetings should be available within the app itself rather than having to rely on a separate third-party tool. This would provide them with a more streamlined experience, eliminating the need for switching between multiple platforms.

Users commonly recommend leveraging the self-review process and praising the one-on-one feature as great additions to PeopleBox. They suggest using PeopleBox for better performance management and tracking individual, department, and organization growth, as well as achieving OKRs. Users also recommend PeopleBox for employee engagement with leaders or managers, emphasizing its convenience and user-friendliness. Additionally, users find PeopleBox to be an amazing and easy-to-understand tool for effective people management. However, some users suggest that collaboration and updates on goals could be improved. Despite this, they still consider PeopleBox a good and user-friendly tool for tracking team OKRs. Furthermore, users find PeopleBox helpful for customer engagement programs. They appreciate that while it has a smaller firm feel, it can also accommodate company growth. Overall, users highly recommend PeopleBox, highlighting its ease of use and adoption in managing teams, especially in the remote or hybrid work environment.

We use the people box for aligning employee and company goals, assigning objectives and key results to all our employees, and reviewing their performance every month. Peoplebox serves as a collaboration tool for cross-functional teams to discuss projects that are critical to them in achieving their quarterly targets. All progress is updated against each goal every week and reviews are conducted across teams on Peoplebox.
  • Organising goals across teams and breaking it across hierarchies.
  • Tracking and Reporting progress across each goal.
  • Cross team collaboration for achieving shared goals.
Peoplebox is well suited to assign goals and track outcomes when the teams are aligned well internally and the goals are well defined with quantitative outcomes. It has limitations when it comes to integrating Peoplebox with internal toolkits and collaboration tools like Asana, Slack, and others. However, it works well with Google sheets.
  • It has made reviews very easy.
  • Organisation has clearly defined goals and tracking.
  • Goals and objectives are transparent and open for all to view and comment on- making us very collaborative and open in culture.
  • Ally
Ally and Peoplebox are very similar in nature. Both are fairly intuitive and easy to use, and both offer to create goals and objectives, assigning key results and tracking progress easily. Both tools also offer integrations with other tools like Google sheets, asana, etc but Ally integrations work much better in my experience.

I've been using this software during one of my recent freelance engagements, where I was a part of a multinational, global team of IT specialists working on the same project. Peoplebox helped us to report the progress of ongoing activities, and manage our tasks and goals achieved. We used it as a kind of collaboration, reporting, and monitoring tool.
  • Allows to easily monitor activities progress.
  • Helps in prioritizing tasks.
I guess it is a good tool for smaller teams, that work from multiple locations at the same time - it helps to collaborate, and monitors common tasks progress and goals (to be) achieved so far. I guess it is not suited for global corporations yet, as it would require some more detailed features (like bonus calculation based on each team member's performance.
  • Positive - gave us confidence that the project tasks are moving forward (as the team was reporting on a regular basis in this tool) and what we should focus on at first.
Although both tasks allow monitoring team members' task progress and activity reporting, they are a bit different. It's hard to comp [are these two tools, although People soft was much easier for me to use (more intuitive) while I was a team member of a small team.
