Guys Who Give Vigo County have awarded a grant of $6,750 to support the start-up operations of the Excel Center of West Central Indiana.

Thanks to Lilly Endowment Inc.’s GIFT VIII matching program, this donation will be matched $1 for $1 for a total donation of $13,500.

“The Excel Center of West Central Indiana is honored to be a recipient of the Guys Who Give grant,” said Meredith Osburn, President & CEO.

“The Excel Center will be using these funds to support the start-up costs for all pre-opening activities,” she said. “This includes computer and technology needs, desks, school supplies, drop-in center supplies, and a wellness room – it all matters for the development of our students and the impact the graduates will have on our community.”

The Excel Center of West Central Indiana is an approved Indiana public charter school focusing on adult learners. The Excel Center will provide adult students with a CORE 40 High School Diploma, as well as dual credit opportunities for those wishing to further their education and industry-recognized certification programs for those that wish to explore skilled trades.

Guys Who Give Vigo County is a sponsored program of the Wabash Valley Community Foundation. To learn more or to sign up, visit http://wvcf.org/giving-circles-membership-form/ or calling 812-232-2234.
