Gave me an insight into WW11

I purchased this copy for my sister as I loved this book, primarily because the subject is from the same town where I was born (I was born there after the war ended). It gave me so much insight as to what really went on prior to and during the war. Things my parents denied ever happened in Pforzheim. I appreciate this book so much because it brought to light so much of my birthplace's history in a personal way.
