Not what I expected.

I'm glad I didn't pay much for it, but i was expecting the version with the pink cover vs the scary version illustrated by don bolognese. Probably just going to donate this to a little library than keep it in my collection.

My kids loved it!

I love how this series of books gives lots of information in a format my kids have enjoyed reading over and over again. This one was a real favorite for all 4 of my kids. Better than learning about science in a dull textbook that's for sure!

Fantastic!

I bought this book at a Scholastic book fair my elementary school put on in the early 90s. The book remains one of my treasured favorites (16 years later). In fact, I found myself quoting it just the other day ("Without bones, you'd be floppy as a bean bag"). It's fun to read, extremely informative about what goes on inside your body, and it has information that sticks with you forever (I haven't read the book in over 10 years, but I still know that we have 206 bones thanks to it). I can't recommend it enough. I plan to buy it for my kids when I have some.

Roentgen is spinning in his grave

I'm not against science, but While a very informative book for children, it really downplays the social and moral implications of radiology. Don't I really have to bring up the fluoroscopes that caused cancer and osteoporosis. If radiologists really don't have anything to hide and this is perfectly safe then why did she put on a lead vest and walk down the hall, huh? Roentgen underwent a deathbed conversion after all. I mean face it; X-rays are dangerous radiation which is why I only heat things in my daughter's easy bake oven(not in a microwave). Nothing quite beats the taste of a bagel roasted over a warm lightbulb. I'd rather be safe than sorry. Though in full disclosure I should say that I collect victorian era erotica so I might be slightly biased here. Just letting you know

Great Experience!

Ordering on line was a wonderful experience. The quality of the book I purchased was amazing! Thanks!

Very interesting and informative! My kids love it!

This book details what the bones in your body look like and their functions. Colorful pictures are helpful and entertaining. This book also mentions a broken arm. Fun reading if your child is in a cast.
