Sahara: Excellent!

Amazing! Fast paced and constantly exciting. The intensity of the book made it hard to put down. This is the first Dirk Pitt book I’ve read, and now I think I’m addicted!

sahara enjoyed

Anything Clive Cussler writes is great to me. This, although older, I had missed and loved being able to secure it. Thank you for the great service. I live most of the year in Mexico and cannot easily receive things but your service is wonderful.

A Must Read

I loved this book, can't wait to get the movie. I'm almost afraid I'll be disappointed in the movie because I loved the book so much. I had read a couple of other Dirk Pitt Novels and was impressed with them all. An information packed adventure involving a present day toxic dump site in the Sahara it manages to bring Civil War history in to play as well as the conflicting politics of currant day Africa. I could not put it down.

"Great Story!"

After seeing to movie I quickly went to get the book. Before then I had only read 1 Clive Cussler novel and thought it was "okay", but when I read this one I loved it! Now I am a big fan of Clive Cussler and have read all the Dirk Pitt books. I recomend this to any Tom Clancy fan--it's sort of like a Tom Clancy book, except easier to understand.

American History the way you WISH it really was!!!

Unbelievably wonderful! I loved every page. I was wary at first, having never read a Cussler book before and only picking up the book after viewing the trailer for the upcoming movie. But I have to say WOW - what a great read. The plot starts with several different threads, then weaves each together to form the fabric of the story, and eventually ties off each fringe event for a decorative finish. I couldn't put it down. Took me two nights and most of a rainy Sunday to finish, but only cause I HAD to put the book down (you know a kid has to eat and laundry has to get done...). I loved the incorporation of Historical figures (I'm a sucker for the Civil War era), it just made me wish that some of our past was really so fantastic. If it were, I'm certain I would have been a History major in college. I had to wait till this weekend to get another Cussler book, but as of this morning I'm only 70 pages from the end of Atlantis Found. Once I finish this one, I'm heading for Valhalla Rising or Treasure - hmmmmm - maybe BOTH!!!! OH, and can't wait till April when the movie SAHARA comes out!!!!

15 year old girl- absolutely loved it!

I am 15 and I loved God is an Englishman. Historical fiction is my favorite genre and the hours I spent on the 816 pages flew by. I found myself trying to finish my homework as early as possible so that I could get to the book before bed. It was also wonderful because it gave me so much to relate to in my Modern European History Class, where we are studying the same time period. I understand the events that we are learning about much more clearly because of Adam and Henrietta Swann. Everyone should read this book, I can't wait to read the other two!
