British author Louise Bagshawe is one of my favorites. "Career Girls" is truly a tremendous work of sex, fun, and racy. All the main ingredients for a wonderful beach read. This isn't "WAR AND PEACE" and it's not supposed to be. It's supposed to be a fun and light read for women. And, it succeed beyond all my expectations. I loved main characters Rowena and Topaz. They are as different as night and day and I think that's why this book works so well. A betrayal earlier in their lives divides these two women and their ensuing feud leads to an amazing book. Really fun and sassy.Great book for the summer! Try It!
Career Girls

A good book to read if you want to relax your mind and not think of complicated matters. The plot is interesting, though slightly unrealistic. Girl-power is in full bloom as we see the struggle of Rowena and Topaz in their respective fields to the plateau of success. The intense rivalry between the two is amusing, as one is so determined to see the other fail at all cost. Focus on the love affairs of the two women had kept the story alive.... Overall, not a bad read, and it has a satisfying conclusion.
