Amplifying the student voice

Are you passionate about uplifting the student voice? Find out how our student ambassadors, course representatives, school representatives and Students' Union Officers amplify the student voice and how you can get involved.

Collecting and applying feedback

We value your feedback, so we have various ways you can share your opinion with staff and other students across the university to effect change:

  • You complete online module evaluation surveys in the middle of each semester, and the feedback is used to inform current module content, delivery approaches and future course content.
  • Eligible final-year undergraduates have the opportunity to complete the National Student Survey, which asks about your all-around student experience. The results are published and can impact things like university league tables.
  • All students are invited to share thoughts on what is working well and what can be improved with student representatives, who share feedback at our student voice meetings, in committees and at board meetings.
  • Postgraduate Research Experience Surveys (PRES) collect specific feedback from those completing postgraduate research-based courses.
  • You can offer suggestions and leave feedback on our Student Life services by completing an online form.
  • You can speak to your personal tutor if you wish to share additional thoughts on your individual experience.
