Biography

William Henry was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Henry kickstarted his acting career in various films such as "The Thin Man" (1934) with William Powell, "Only Eight Hours" (1935) and the adventure "China Seas" (1935) with Clark Gable. He also appeared in "Tarzan Escapes" (1936), "Double or Nothing" (1937) and "Madame X" (1937). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the sports "Harmon of Michigan" (1941) with Tom Harmon, the comedy "Scattergood Meets Broadway" (1941) with Guy Kibbee and "Klondike Fury" (1942). He also appeared in the drama "A Gentleman After Dark" (1942) with Brian Donlevy. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Allan Lane western "Marshal of Cedar Rock" (1953), the Charlton Heston action flick "Secret of the Incas" (1954) and "A Bullet For Joey" (1955) with Edward G Robinson. He also appeared in "Jungle Moon Men" (1955) and the Henry Fonda dramatic adaptation "Mister Roberts" (1955). Henry was most recently credited in "Doctor Finlay" (PBS, 1992-93). Henry passed away in August 1982 at the age of 68.
