Chelsea face competition to sign Marquinhos from Paris Saint Germain this summer after the defender's brother claimed "a lot" of clubs have expressed an interest in the 21-year-old.

Marquinhos joined the French champions from Roma in 2013 and has made 25 Ligue 1 appearances as Laurent Blanc's side have retained their domestic crown at a canter this season.

But the Brazil international has confirmed he will assess his future at the end of the campaign and Standard Sport understands Chelsea have already staged talks with the centre back.

Marquinhos has three years remaining on his contract at the Parce des Princes and the Blues do not appear to be the only club to have made contact.

Luan Aoas Correa, Marquinhos' brother, told Canal Plus: "There are a lot of clubs who are interested in Marquinhos.

"They have already spoken with me. With the club, Marquinhos’ agent, myself and my father we will make a decision."

Antonio Conte will take over at Stamford Bridge this summer and will be likely to need to bring in a central defender as a matter of priority with captain John Terry set to leave west London.
