Drake has well and truly confirmed he is a huge Game of Thrones fan.

The God’s Plan rapper referenced the HBO show as he picked up one of 12 gongs at the Billboard Music Awards.

Over the weekend fans were treated to an epic showdown between Arya Stark and the Night King during the Battle of Winterfell, where she slayed him with a Valyrian steel dagger.

On accepting the Top Billboard 200 Album award for his 2018 release Scorpion, he said: “Shout out to Arya Stark for putting in that work last week!”

Fans of the drama were sent into meltdown over the shout-out with one tweeting: “Drake is an Arya Stark stan don’t talk to me.”

Another wrote: “Drake really just shouted out Arya in his acceptance speech at the BBMAs, her power is unmatched.”

“When Drake said ‘shout out to Arya Stark for putting that work in last week’, I felt that,” a third posted.

The Game of Thrones fandom has been left on edge after they were given a teaser for episode four.

The dramatic trailer showcases Daenerys Targaryen’s next move as she prepares to make her play for the Iron Throne.

One image shows Daenerys and advisors Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel) and Varys (Conleth Hill) seemingly developing a strategy as they prepare for the “last war”.

Another shows the rising tensions between the pair as her enemy Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) grins after securing her new ally Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbæk).
