Wallington crash: Motorcyclist fighting for life after being hit by car in south London

A motorcyclist is fighting for life after being hit by a car in south London this morning.

Emergency services were called to Croydon Road, Wallington, around 7.20am, to reports of a crash involving a car and a motorbike.

The rider has been taken to hospital with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries.

Their age and gender is not yet known.

A Met Police spokeswoman added that is not known if the car stopped at the scene.

Croydon Road has been shut in both directions between Manor Road and Bute Road while police deal with the incident.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
