That's it from this match folks! Hope you enjoyed the coverage. This is Rudransh signing off for Sportskeeda!
Nathan McSweeney is the player of the match, let's hear from him: You always worry if you have left a bit out there. We probably did, if we are being critical of ourselves. Our bowlers just won us the game. It's awesome to be back at the Gabba. The crowd was awesome, hopefully we keep winning. I enjoy batting on grounds like these because of the value of shots I get. Hopefully we can play here everyday. Hopefully I can get myself in on the 1st and put up a big score.
A brilliant win for Heat. They don't make it look pretty but they get the job done. Thunder looked like they had a bit of momentum going their way with the collapse but Heat were just onto them with the perfect plans from the first ball. Bancroft and Hales got off to good starts but couldn't convert. The middle order then just crumbled under a barrage of spin from Swepson and Kuhnemann who not only slowed the innings down but also earned three wickets between them to show for the hardwork. The pitch got slower and tackier as the game went on and Thunder just didn't seem to have an answer for it. The lower order had too much to do and Heat's pacers stretched them to the limits, keeping them short and cutting all the momentum that the previous win might have given them!
