Bournemouth centre-back Dean Huijsen has reportedly emerged as one of Real Madrid's targets to reinforce their backline. The Amsterdam-born defender joined the Premier League side from Juventus in 2024 for a reported transfer fee of €15.20 million.

At present, Real Madrid are burdened by several injuries in their backline. Players like Eder Militao and David Alaba are sidelined with long-term injuries while the other centre-backs haven't been at their best this season. According to a report by Diario AS (via @MadridXtra on X), Dean Huijsen has emerged as one of the targets for Los Blancos in the upcoming transfer window.

Huijsen has been one of the mainstays in the Bournemouth backline this season, making 12 appearances and scoring two goals in the league. He has averaged an impressive four clearances per game and boasts an 85% passing accuracy. He has also amassed a good rating of 7.23 on Sofascore in the Premier League.

Real Madrid's defensive woes have cost the club dearly, especially in the UEFA Champions League. Carlo Ancelotti's side have lost to LOSC Lille, AC Milan, and Liverpool and are currently 20th on the table. They have scored just nine points out of a possible 18.

Dean Huijsen has reportedly rejected European titans like Barcelona, and Bayern Munich in the past.

According to Spanish journalist and Real Madrid transfer expert Mario Cortegana (via Madrid Universal), Los Blancos had already agreed terms with Bayern Munich full-back Alphonso Davies in February 2024. The 24-year-old Canadian left-back joined the Bavarians from Vancouver Whitecaps FC in 2019 for a reported transfer fee of €14 million.

Davies' reported €216,346-per-week contract with Bayern Munich expires at the end of this season. It is expected that the Spanish giants will either snap him up in January or wait for his contract to expire and get him on a Bosman move next summer.

Over the years, Davies has established himself as one of the premier left-backs in Europe, revered for his electric pace and ability to contribute both in attack and defense. The Canadian superstar has played 216 games for the Bavarians across competitions, scoring 12 goals and creating 34 more so far.
