Real Madrid star Dani Carvajal and his former Los Blancos teammate Joselu shared Christmas celebration pictures with their family on Wednesday, December 25. Notably, the footballer duo are married to twin sisters. Carvajal is currently nursing an ACL injury and has been sidelined since October earlier this year.
Joselu, who currently plays for Al-Gharafa in the Qatar Stars League, spent a full season at Madrid in 2023-24. He also spent three years with Los Blancos between 2009 and 2012 before joining Hoffenheim.
Joselu shared a picture of himself and Carvajal - now brothers-in-law - and their respective wives celebrating Christmas. While Carvajal tied the knot with Daphne Canizares in 2022, Joselu had married her twin Melanie in 2016.
Joselu captioned the picture:
"Los mejores deseos en esta noche tan especial en Familia." [Best wishes on this special night with family.]

Joselu and Dani Carvajal played together for Real Madrid in the 2023-24 season
Joselu and Carvajal first shared the pitch for RM Castilla back in the 2010-11 season. They played together for Real Madrid's youth side for another season before the striker left and reunited at the club for the 2023-24 season when Joselu arrived on loan from Espanyol.
They have been teammates for the Spain national team as well. In all, the two have played 107 matches together, combining for seven goals.
Having become a proper journeyman in club football, Joselu also turned out for Eintracht Frankfurt and Hannover 96 in Germany, Stoke City and Newcastle United in England, as well as Deportivo La Coruna, Deportivo Alaves and Espanyol in Spain. In July 2024, he joined Al-Gharafa, where he has already scored eight goals in 18 appearances.
Carvajal, on the other hand, is a product of the Real Madrid academy and has been with the club since 2002. Notably, he spent the 2012-13 season with Bayer Leverkusen, joining them in a reported €5 million deal, before returning to Real in a €6.5 deal the following summer.
The right-back has made a total of 427 appearances for Los Blancos and scored 14 goals for them. Among many other honors, he has won six Champions League and four LaLiga titles with the club. This season, Carvajal played in eight LaLiga matches before getting injured.
