Team India all-rounder Riyan Parag tried to do something different from the usual while bowling against Bangladesh in the second T20I on Wednesday (October 9) but it ended up a no-ball. This came during the 11th over the second innings of the match when Mahmudullah and Mehidy Hasan Miraz were batting for Bangladesh on 78/4.
After conceding eight runs on the first three deliveries, Parag bowled with a slingy action from behind the umpire on the fourth ball of the over.
The umpire immediately adjudged it as a back-foot no-ball and awarded a free hit to the batter. However, it did not prove costly for the hosts, as only one run came off the free hit. Riyan ended the over on a positive note by dismissing Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

India beat Bangladesh clinically by 86 runs in the 2nd T20I in Delhi
After being asked to bat first, India overcame a top-order collapse of 41/3 and scored a massive total of 221/9 in the first innings. Nitish Kumar Reddy (74) Rinku Singh (53), and Hardik Pandya (32) starred for the hosts in the batting department while others chipped in with minor contributions.
It was one-way traffic in the second innings, as Bangladesh never posed any threat to chase down 222 after collapsing to 46/4 in 6.5 overs. They eventually crawled to 135/9 in 20 overs and lost the match convincingly by 86 runs.
At the post-match presentation, India captain Sruyakumar Yadav reflected on his team's performance, saying:
"You can say that we were under pressure at 41/3 but I wanted the lower order to be tested in that situation. They batted the way I wanted them to. The message has been loud and clear. Go and express yourself. Do what you have done for your franchise and state team."
He added:
"Only the jersey changes, nothing else. It was about testing what these guys can do. Can they give me one or two overs? It was Nitish Kumar Reddy's day, so I gave him the new ball and told him to go there and make it large."
Hyderabad will host the third and final T20I of the series on October 12.
