Ritika Sajdeh shared an adorable Instagram post on Friday (December 13) to wish her husband, Rohit Sharma, on their ninth wedding anniversary. The couple got hitched on the same day in 2015 at the Taj Lands in Bandra, Mumbai.
Rohit and Ritika welcomed their first child, Samaira Sharma, on December 30, 2018. They were recently blessed with a second child, Ahaan, on November 15. Rohit Sharma missed the first Test of the BGT 2024-25 series against Australia to be with his wife for the birth of their son. The Indian captain later traveled to Perth to join the Test squad and is currently in Brisbane, preparing for the third Test.
Ritika Sajdeh took to her official Instagram handle this morning to share a couple of family pictures and extended anniversary wishes to Rohit Sharma with a special note, which read:
"Happy 9 baby ♥️ Best dad, best husband, best friend and the best I could ever wish for 🏝️ 🐋 ♥️"
"I am not seeing him playing as an opener" - Aakash Chopra on India captain Rohit Sharma ahead of 3rd Test vs Australia at the Gabba
Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra recently opined that Rohit Sharma should continue to bat in the middle-order during the Brisbane Test, considering his struggles against seam and swing. Analyzing the matter in a video on his YouTube channel, Chopra said:
He is the captain. He has been your most successful opener since he started opening. Then he can be an opener. There is no doubt about that. However, if he was going to play as an opener only, he could have done that in the pink-ball Test too. I feel he should remain where he is. He should bat in the middle order. He and Rishabh Pant can decide No. 5 or No. 6 between them based on the situation. I am not seeing him playing as an opener, to be very honest."
Elaborating his point of view, the cricketer-turned-commentator added:
"However, since Rahul has to be replaced, and Rahul is generally replaceable in terms of the batting order, etc., Rohit Sharma might ask him to bat at No. 6 and open himself. It can happen but if you see Rohit's numbers in his last 12 innings, where he has scored just one half-century and struggled slightly against seam and swing in India."
Do you think Rohit should return to the opening position or continue in the middle-order in the 3rd BGT Test? Sound off your opinions in the comments section.
