  • "The rental process is easy, including pick up and drop off. The van was very clean and appeared to be well maintained. The people at Scenic Vans are very helpful and knowledgeable about the vans they rent out. It came with basic kitchen supplies, and there were even travel size toiletries and towels to use with the on-board shower. Although a staff member shows you how everything works when you pick up the van, they leave you with a binder full of instructions of how the various systems work. This came in handy as it was hard to remember how everything worked for the first day or so. Having unlimited mileage gave us nice peace of mind. I would highly recommend renting from Scenic Vans and would be willing to do so again.

  • Overall, we had a most amazing time in our Mammoth Van. Took a trip from the Bay Area down to Sequoia National Forest, Joshua Tree, Alabama Hills, and rounded out in Tahoe. Smooth ride, great amenities, excellent customer service, and all around positive vibes. The only constructive feedback I’d give would be to ensure that upon pick up, the van is fully topped off with water, solar, and gas and ready to ride. Can’t wait for our next trip.   • We loved the Mammoth and Scenic Vans. This was our first camper van experience, and in addition to helping us get to know the van, Scenic Vans helped us get to know van life, offering resources including IOVERLANDER and Hip Camp, as well as a pass to camp on farms and wineries in California. Our 11-year- old loved traveling in the lounge area (with a seat belt). We loved the van as much as the sites we visited (Joshua Tree, Anza Borrega super bloom, and a horse farm). The driving was easy despite never driving a vehicle this big. The mirrors and blind spot alerts were key. The kitchen was large for a van, and we cooked every meal there. All three of us and the dog slept comfortably, which traditional camping doesn't typically offer us. We didn't have any significant problems, but Scenic Vans was just a chat or call away if we needed them. And, the unlimited mileages is a huge plus and kept the cost down compared to rentals through Outdoorsy. We'll be back, and we'll ask for the Mammoth again.

It handled easily on the freeway and had everything we needed once we arrived. We especially appreciated the heater (40° mornings) and the hot water (showers).
