Over-The-Top Evil MCU Moments That Don't Involve Killing Someone
Doctor Strange first travels to Kamar-Taj because he hears rumors about how the Ancient One healed a paralyzed man named Jonathan Pangborn. Eventually, Strange discovers that Pangborn isn't really healed, but he is able to walk thanks to magic.
At the end of Doctor Strange, Mordo decides he's against the use of magic after discovering the Ancient One has been borrowing power from the forbidden Dark Dimension. In Mordo's first stop in his new crusade against magic, he goes to Jonathan Pangborn, where he does something that can only be described as cruel and unusual. Mordo uses a technique to steal Pangborn's power, which leaves him writhing on the floor.

Obadiah Stane stepped up in a big way after the demise of Howard Stark. Sure, Obadiah took over as the interim CEO for Stark Industries, but he also served as a father figure to Tony Stark. It was like this for years until Tony came of age to take over the company, and Obadiah became consumed with jealousy and resentment.
Obadiah first tries to get Tony out of the way by ordering a hit on the young billionaire. When that fails, and Tony returns to the company rejuvenated with an arc reactor and a disdain for weapons manufacturing, Obadiah only becomes angrier. So, Obadiah goes to Tony, reveals he's been plotting against him, and then paralyzes Tony and rips the arc reactor out of his chest. Obadiah then leaves Tony to die a slow and painful demise.
Evil moment?Even for a man hellbent on destroying half of all life in the universe, Thanos's treatment of Nebula is especially cruel. Throughout their lives, Thanos would pit Nebula against her sister, Gamora. Nebula would always lose, and each time Thanos would cybernetically enhance Nebula's body until she was more android than human.
After capturing Gamora in Infinity War, Thanos takes her to see Nebula. Nebula had previously snuck aboard Thanos's ship with the intent to eliminate him, so Thanos suspended her in the air and separated all her parts. Thanos uses the pain Nebula is in to get information out of Gamora. So, once again, she's nothing more than a tool for Thanos to get what he wants out of his favorite daughter.

At the start of WandaVision, it's more than a little confusing as to what's going on at any level. Not only is Wanda living in a sitcom, but possibly even stranger (although that's debatable), the Vision is back alive. The android's sudden resurrection isn't explained until late in the series, where a flashback of Wanda retrieving his body from S.W.O.R.D. is finally shown.
The Vision may be more robot than human to most, but to his lover, he's a being with a soul. Wanda goes to S.W.O.R.D. to get Vision's body, not to bring him back, but so she can finally have a funeral for him. While there, the director of S.W.O.R.D., Tyler Hayward, reveals to Wanda that he views Vision as a weapon first and foremost. Thus, he's dismantling the Vision's body, which he shows to Scarlet Witch. On one level, it's just a robot having its parts disassembled. But, with a bit of empathy, it's easy to see the horror of watching one's lover ripped limb from limb by cold, calculating scientists.
Evil moment?Baron Zemo believes that a nation toppled by its enemies can rise again, but one that crumbles from the inside is gone for good. So, after Zemo makes it his mission post-Age of Ultron to destroy the Avengers, he goes about it by pitting the team against each other.
In Zemo's final move to separate the Avengers, Zemo shows Tony Stark the video of his parents' demises. Unbeknownst to Stark, his parents were slain by the Winter Soldier (while he was brainwashed). Captain America knew about this, so the video leads to the three heroes fighting against each other.
Evil moment?Aldrich Killian and Maya Hansen have a breakthrough on their hands with a little project called Extremis. Extremis uses nanotechnology to modify human bodies and allow them to regenerate from all injuries. It's awesome, but it suffers from one small problem - users tend to spontaneously combust.
Killian desperately wants Tony Stark to fix that problem for him, but Tony refuses. So, Killian does what any normal person would do, and he infects Pepper Potts, the love of Tony's life, with his virus. Thus, Tony either fixes the spontaneous combustion problem, or he risks having his love perish in an incredibly brutal fashion.
Evil moment?Killmonger comes to Wakanda to disrupt traditions. He's tired of Wakanda's policy of isolation, and he wants to take the crown in order to arm the billions of oppressed people across the world.
Taking over the crown doesn't give someone the power of Black Panther. Those abilities come later by ingesting the heart-shaped herb. But, after Killmonger takes the crown and ingests the herb, he decides he doesn't want any future kings to have that same power. So, he orders the gardener to burn them, and when she says she can't, he picks her up by the throat and forces her.
Evil moment? In real life, everyone has certain triggers that can alter their mood at any given time. In superhero worlds, this also rings true, and characters that value their personal safety need to be very careful not to mention a supervillain's triggers when interacting with them.
While making a deal with Ultron, Klaue makes the mistake of pointing out that Tony Stark created him. This enrages Ultron, who then dramatically slices off Klaue's arm.
Evil moment? It's like what Don Draper says after being told by someone that they hate him: "I don't think about you at all."
Drax is a member of the Kylosian race, who, like many others across the galaxy, suffered at the hands of Ronan the Accuser (working on behalf of Thanos) by having half of all the inhabitants on their planet terminated. Among those slain were Drax's wife and child, so he pledged to spend the rest of his life getting revenge on the Mad Titan.
When Drax eventually found Ronan, a man he had spent years searching for, his intense passion was not met by his enemy. In fact, Ronan didn't even remember him, making what happened to Drax's family seem that much crueler and more insignificant to the world. To add salt to the wound, Ronan proceeds to absolutely wreck Drax in their ensuing fight.

In 'Captain Marvel,' Yon-Rogg Fakes A Friendship With Captain Marvel And Lies To Her About Her Entire Life
Yon-Rogg is a Kree military operative sent to Earth to eliminate Mar-Vell and recover a powerful energy core. But, during the mission, the energy core is absorbed by a human woman named Carol Danvers. So, Yon-Rogg takes the woman, tells her that her name is Vers, and starts a mentorship with her based on lies to manipulate her for her power.
Eventually, Carol Danvers remembers who she really is and is less than thrilled to find out she's been used by a powerful, militaristic race to commit acts of genocide against the Skrulls.
Evil moment? Black Widow is a hardened assassin who rarely lets her guard down. In The Avengers, Black Widow goes to Loki in an attempt to barter for Clint Barton's life. She tells Loki that she has red in her ledger, and she'd like to wipe it out. Loki, now feeling he knows enough about her to really get under her skin, immediately launches into a verbal onslaught against Natasha. The trickster god stands and slowly walks towards Black Widow as he asks, "Can you?" He then mentions Dreykov's daughter, who fans now know is the little girl Natasha dispatched before joining S.H.I.E.L.D. Loki reminds Black Widow that her ledger is dripping in red, and that she can't do anything to change that. Loki then goes in for the emotional kill, telling Black Widow he'll have Barton slay her, slowly, intimately, in "every way he knows [she'll] fear." With all that said, Black Widow, seemingly having her worst fears confirmed, turns away in fear and distress.
Luckily, it's all an act, and Black Widow is really just trying to get information out of Loki. Still, that doesn't make the scene any easier to watch while it's happening.
Evil moment?Alexander Pierce is not a good man. The S.H.I.E.L.D. director is basically the MCU's answer to Palpatine, as he plays both sides of a conflict in order to ensure his own evil victory. He pretends to work for S.H.I.E.L.D., but in reality, he's the highest-ranking Hydra mole on the field.
In the finale of Winter Soldier, Pierce tries to get the members of the World Security Council on board with Project Oversight. But, his plans are foiled by the Black Widow and Nick Fury. So, Pierce reveals he has booby-trapped every one of the council members' access cards. And, since he no longer needs them, he pulls the trigger and eliminates them all.
Evil moment? It's hard watching anything suffer in a movie, but it's especially difficult when the thing in question is an innocent animal. Heck, there even exists a website with the sole purpose of letting moviegoers know which films feature dogs that perish or not.
Not only does Darren eliminate multiple lambs in his attempts to shrink them down, but he doesn't even treat them well when the experiment finally works. After shrinking a very cute baby lamb down to the size of an inch, Darren immediately flicks its small container and knocks it around.

In 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier,' Arnim Zola Cheats Death Just To Spend More Time Spreading Hydra Propaganda
It's one thing to be an evil monster in death - but to cheat death just to continue on being an evil monster? That requires an unbelievable amount of evil.
Arnim Zola is a Hydra scientist who rose to prominence during WWII. After the conflict ended, the United States put their ethics and morals aside and brought Zola into their country to continue his work for them. Zola spent his remaining years on Earth infiltrating the United States government, primarily S.H.I.E.L.D., with as many Hydra agents as possible. Then, when his time came, he uploaded his mind into a computer for the sole purpose of continuing his work for Hydra. That's an unheard-of dedication to evil.
