In her feature-length debut, scream queen and academy award winner Jamie Lee Curtis put the movie world on notice with her stellar and outstanding portrayal of Laurie Strode in John Carpenter's Halloween. One of the most beloved and revered horror films of all time, Jamie Lee Curtis puts the film on her shoulders and elevates this incredible slasher to astronomical heights with a believable, heartfelt, and spine-chilling performance as a babysitter being hunted down by a deranged serial killer. While the later films would more and more unhinged, Jamie Lee Curtis and Halloween have withstood the test of time as two of the best horror has ever seen.

In her second feature film, Jamie Lee Curtis re-teamed with acclaimed director John Carpenter in his hit film The Fog. A wildly different collaboration than their previous outing, The Fog is an atmospheric and sinister slow-burn that has a wide cast of characters, all of whom are memorable in their own rights. With the dreaded for ever-looming and the mystery of what lies inside a haunting presence, the film is a frightfully fun time with reach themes and elements, headlined by a stellar performance from Jamie Lee Curtis and Adrienne Barbeau.

40 years after her feature debut in John Carpenter's Halloween, Jamie Lee Curtis returned to the role that started it all and began the requel phenomenon that ran rampant throughout the late 2010s in David Gordon Green's Halloween (2018). In a film that disregards every sequel to the franchise, Jamie Lee Curtis delivers one of her greatest performances as a stoic, paranoid, and broken Laurie Strode who has never been able to move on from the events that transpired on Halloween. Grounded, terrifying, and a much-needed shot in the arm of the franchise, Jamie Lee Curtis delivered a knockout performance in Halloween.

While Halloween (2018) may get all the hype and acclaim for continuing the Halloween franchise and bringing it back to its former glory, 20 years earlier horror fans were treated with the same thing in Halloween H20: 20 Years Later. In a film that follows the events of the first two films of the franchise, Jamie Lee Curtis returns as Laurie Strode, this time as a mother to a college student as the ever-looming presence of Michael Myers continues to grow. A much more adult, sorrowful, and realistic depiction of the life of a woman who survived a horrifying attack, H20 and Jamie Lee Curtis deliver audiences one of the best entires in the entire Halloween franchise.

Jamie Lee Curtis completed the trifecta of horror in her first three feature films, finalized by her fantastic and relentless role in 1980's Prom Night. Solidifying herself as a hero to the horror world, Jamie Lee Curtis showed that she truly loved the genre by continuing to work in it time and time again, and delivered as good a performance as she could in a film infamous for how bizarre it is. A slasher that follows a killer out to avenge the death of a young girl after being bullied, the film is unhinged and unrelenting in all the best possible way, and is a remarkably fun time to simply turn one's brain off and enjoy.

Many hardcore horror fans' sleeper pick for the best film in the Halloween franchise, Halloween II immediately continues the horrifying events of the first film, this time in a much more sinister, bloody, and masochistic affair. Jamie Lee Curtis returns, granted in a much smaller role, as she is relegated to a hospital bed for most of the film, but she still manages to deliver a powerhouse performance as the always beloved Laurie Strode. A much nastier and devilish entry to the franchise, this film that was supposed to be the end of Michael Myers is the perfect sendoff to a franchise that managed to outlive even the wildest of expectations.

Robots, aliens, tons of gore, and an instantly recognizable and beloved cast, Virus may be one of the more forgotten films of the 90s, but it is a frightfully fun time headlined by the outstanding performance of Jamie Lee Curtis. Following a group of Americans as they board an abandoned Russian research vessel, they quickly come to realize that there is an alien species that will stop at nothing until they are eradicated. While the film may not have lived up to its outstanding premise, it still remains a fun film and one that deserves more recognition that it currently has.

A Hitchcockian thriller that follows a dangerous game of cat and mouse between a deranged serial killer and a truck driver simply trying to survive on the desolate Australian highway, Road Games was a poorly marketed, but brilliant forgotten horror film that uses the audience's imagination to instill horrifying thrills. A film that masterfully uses paranoia as a weapon, it is bolstered by yet another fantastic performance from Jamie Lee Curtis who proved that no matter the scrip, she can and will get a fascinating performance out of all of her characters.

One of the most controversial and divisive horror films of all time, David Gordon Green's Halloween Ends concluded the new trilogy of Halloween films in a way that many, many fans were not a fan of. While Jamie Lee Curtis delivers as stellar a performance as ever, the overall story of the film is what left a bad taste in audiences' mouths, as both Laurie and Michael are barely in the film, instead focusing on an entirely new character for the vast majority of the film's runtime. Once the film shifts its focus back to the two juggernauts of horror, many are enthralled, but by that time there are only a few minutes left in the film, which in turn, made many fans even angrier.

One of the most campy, outlandish, and absurd horror films of all time, by all accounts Terror Train should be a massive disaster, but there is one simple reason it isn't, the magnificent performance from horror icon Jamie Lee Curtis. Jamie Lee stars in yet another slasher, the third of her four-film career to that point, that follows a masked killer who is slowly picking off teens who are responsible for a prank gone wrong. While the film will not win any awards, it has slowly garnered steam as a cult classic, and a film that is a must-watch around the spooky season.

For the first 15 minutes of Halloween Resurrection, the film continues the story of H20 in beautiful fashion, delivering massive twists and pulse-pounding scenes of terror and dread headlined by the outstanding and spine-chilling duel between Jamie Lee Curtis's Laurie Strode and Michael Myers. Sadly, however, after the 15 minutes, Jamie Lee is out of the film and so is any hope of the film being any good. In a tragic bait and switch, Halloween Resurrection is a film so underwhelming and disappointing once Jamie Lee leaves, many refuse to even watch it, but for those brief few moments, it is wonderful.

After the groundbreaking hit that was 2018's Halloween, many fans were waiting with baited breathe to witness what the second installment in the new trilogy would bring, and while it may not have lived up to the reputation of its predecessor, Halloween Kills is still a frightfully fun time to turn your brain off to and simply enjoy it for the over the top kills, lunatic Michael Myers, and yet another phenomenal performance from Jamie Lee Curtis. While the film does have its fair share of haters, it has quickly grown a cult following who will defend it with their very lives.
