Los Angeles Rams at Philadelphia Eagles predictions
The Philadelphia Eagles made smooth progress in their 22-10 Wild Card win over the Packers but there were also some signs that their offence could struggle when taking on the Los Angeles Rams' in-form defence on Sunday.
The Eagles are the NFC second seeds and have a head-to-head win over the Rams under their belt, but after taking a 10-0 lead in the first quarter against the Packers, the Eagles scored only 12 more points. Their defence stepped up when it mattered, but they may need more to see off the lively visitors.
The Rams shrugged off the distraction of the change of venue and loss of home advantage when their Wild Card game against Minnesota was moved to Arizona due to the California wildfires, winning 27-9 in convincing fashion. The Rams were on the front foot from the start against a Vikings team who had gone 14-3 in the regular season. Their defence sacked Vikings QB Sam Darnold a nine times for the loss of 82 yards and their young defensive line is really coming together, led by first-round draft pick Jared Verse.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford was sharp and it shouldn't be forgotten that he and head coach Sean McVay won a Super Bowl with the Rams just three years ago.
The Eagles will be banking on running back Saquon Barkley to see them through but their defence suffered a major blow when linebacker Nakobe Dean sustained a season-ending knee injury last week and the Eagles could struggle to pull away, making the Rams worthy of handicap support with a big start in a potentially low-scoring game.

Baltimore Ravens at Buffalo Bills predictions
The NFL looks to have saved the best for last in the Divisional round of the playoffs as MVP contenders Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen go head to head in a heavyweight clash between the Baltimore Ravens and the Buffalo Bills.
After impressive performances by both teams last week, the Ravens and Bills clash for the second time this season. Baltimore dominated the first contest at M&T Bank Stadium in Week Four, outgaining the Bills 427 yards to 236 with running back Derrick Henry rushing for 199 yards in a 35-10 victory.
That was some time ago, though, and since losing to the Rams in Week 14, the Bills have been as impressive as any team in the league. Ignoring their Week 18 game when they rested their starters, the Bills have scored 143 points in their last four wins, starting with a statement 48-42 success against the Detroit Lions.
The Bills defence restricted the Broncos to 224 yards and seven points in last week's comfortable 31-7 home win, but the Ravens also impressed in a stress-free 28-14 success over the Steelers. Baltimore ran for 299 yards in that game, with Henry accounting for 186, and the Bills could struggle to find answers to their power-packed running game in which QB Jackson plays a key role.
The Bills are underdogs for a home playoff game for the first time since they joined the NFL but that looks justified against a Ravens team on a five-game winning streak and the visitors are worth backing to power to victory in what could be an epic clash between two talented teams.
