Noah Praamsma, MS, RDN

Nutrition Education Coordinator

Noah Praamsma, MS, RDN, is a nutrition education coordinator with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting preventive medicine through plant-based nutrition and higher standards in research. A native Vermonter, he does his best to act locally and think globally in both his personal and professional life.

Noah completed his undergraduate degree in biology/premedicine at Calvin University. During this time, he developed a passion for plant-based nutrition and preventive medicine, as well as the ethical treatment of animals and environmental sustainability. He went on to earn a Master of Science in Dietetics from the University of Vermont with a focus on community nutrition and sustainable food systems. Noah’s other past professional experiences include as a Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) public health nutritionist; public policy coordinator for the Vermont Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics; and several roles with the City of Burlington, Vt., including a term in AmeriCorps and director of a nutrition-focused summer camp with the parks and recreation department.

Noah excitedly pursues opportunities to share his holistic and plant-forward perspective. His growing interest in nutrition policy led him to move to Washington, D.C., last year. In his free time, you can find Noah running through the woods east of the Anacostia River or participating in his local Northeast D.C. church community.
