A crackdown on illegal activities in rural areas saw police pull over a vehicle carrying scrap metal in South Oxfordshire on Tuesday night (January 8).
The stop check occurred in Chinnor during the night, in which Thames Valley Police for South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse pulled over a Ford Transit van to ensure it was following regulations.

A statement from the force said that all was in order.
This stated: "Pleased to say the driver had the required licence and was well in the know when it comes to waste carrying legislation."
A collaboration with Thames Valley Police for West Berkshire has seen an increase in patrols the rural areas connecting the counties.
The units cover rural crime hotspots in an effort to combat hare coursing and illegal poaching offences.
