A man has been arrested for having a 'knife' and a 'firearm' at an address in Oxford this afternoon.
At around 1.20pm today (January 7), officers responded to reports of a man in possession of a knife in Marlborough Road.
A man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and possession with intent to supply class B drugs.
Following a search, he was also arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a firearm. He remains in custody.

Thames Valley Police confirmed that no one was injured.
A statement issued by police said: “We understand this incident may have been alarming for those who witnessed it but we do not believe there is an ongoing risk to the public.
“You may see an increase in patrols in this area, if you have any questions or information then please feel free to speak to an officer.
“Anyone with information about the incident should make a report on our website or 101, quoting reference 43250009443.”
