Police are warning homeowners after a spike in burglaries in an Oxfordshire town.
This comes after a garage was broken into in Church Street, Chipping Norton.
Thames Valley Police is urging residents to have CCTV which streams to a phone, security lights and alarms in homes, garages and sheds.
In a message to residents, police said: “Between 1am and 2am on the January 7, there was a burglary to a garage at an address on Church Street.

“It's believed the burglars were disturbed by the audible alarm and ran off.
“If you have any further information please contact police on 101 and quote the crime reference number 43250008656.
“We are experiencing an increase in burglaries across the Chipping Norton area. Please review your home security and look to improve it if necessary.”
