A jail sentence has been handed to a man found guilty of trying to steal from a bank.
Sonny Mannion, of Jericho Street, Oxford, was charged with one count of burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal.
The 34-year-old was caught on September 4 last year entering a NatWest Bank in London ‘as a trespasser’ with intent to steal.

He was due to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on November 13 last year. However, the defendant failed to appear so he was found guilty in his absence.
A warrant for his arrest was issued. Mannion then appeared at the same court on January 3 and was handed a six-month prison sentence due to the ‘seriousness of the offence’.
There were no orders for costs.
