A young woman has been accused of causing unnecessary suffering to a paralysed dog.
Chloe Elkins, 27, has been charged with two counts of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.
It is alleged that Elkins, of Blue Mountains, Wallingford, had failed to follow veterinary advice between December 7 and December 30, 2023, for a female dachshund named Fifi after it became paralysed following an attack from another dog.

Reportedly, Elkins allowed the dog to sustain further injuries and develop sores from urine scalding.
The dog owner appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Monday (January 6) and her case has now been adjourned so a pre-sentence report can be prepared.
She is next due in the same court on March 4 at 10am.
