A sentencing date has been set for a man who has admitted to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.
Christopher Rickell, 33, appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (January 7) charged with one count each of making an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child and being an adult attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.

The court heard that between August 19 and September 14, 2021, Rickell attempted to communicate with a girl under the age of 16 with the ‘communication being sexual’.
On or before October 10, 2021, he was also caught with eight Category C images of children.
Rickell, of Kidlington Road, Islip, will now be sentenced at the same court on March 4 at 10am.
