A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for a man who indicated guilty to possessing over 9,400 indecent images of children.

Stephen Rhodes, 37, appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on December 27 charged with four counts.

He indicated guilty to three counts of making indecent photographs/pseudo-photographs of a child and one count of possessing an extreme pornographic image.

Rhodes was allegedly caught on February 1 last year with 281 Category A images, 300 Category B images, and 8,854 Category C images – 9,435 in total.

He was also allegedly caught with 15 extreme pornographic images.

Rhodes, of Sinodun Road, Didcot, is now due  back in Oxford Magistrates’ Court for his next hearing on February 21.

He is not allowed to use devices capable of accessing the internet in the meantime.
