The latest court cases in Oxford Magistrates' Court:

JAMES MASSIE, 78, of Petre Bungalows, Foscot, pleaded guilty to breaching a sexual offences prevention order by having a Samsung mobile phone and failing to disclose it to police within three days. He also pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to court bail at the appointed time. Massie must pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £114. He must also comply with the orders of the responsible officer to attend appointments for a maximum of 35 days. 

SIAN GRANTHAM, 37, of Western Crescent, Banbury, pleaded guilty to two counts of stealing household items and food from The Co-Op in Banbury on September 8 and 15 last year. The total value of the items stolen was £143.17. She also failed to surrender to police bail at the appointed time. Grantham must pay a fine totalling £120 and compensation of £71. There was no order made for costs. 
 
GEORGE MORGAN, 35, of Westfield, Harwell, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Combo 2000 on Limborough Road, Wantage, without a licence on July 26 last year and without insurance of July 27 last year. He was banned from the road for six months and must pay costs of £85 and a fine of £1,269. 

DENNIS JOHNSON, 44, of Woodgate Close, Grove, pleaded guilty to drug driving in a Silver Vauxhall Meriva on Marcham Road, Abingdon, on September 17 last year. He was banned from the road for 12 months and must pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £48 and a fine of £120. 

IAN GREENWOOD, 37, of Court Farm Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to 18 counts of stealing items from shops in Oxford between September 14 and November 4 last year. He also pleaded guilty to one count of assault by beating against a woman in Oxford on October 17 last year. The total value of the items stolen was £2,619.03. Greenwood was jailed for 26 weeks, suspended for 24 months. He must also undergo drug rehabilitation for 12 months and must not enter any Sainsbury, Co-Op or Asda stores in Oxfordshire for 24 months. He also has to comply with the orders of the responsible officer to attend appointments for a maximum of 40 days and pay compensation of £500.

CONSTANTIN-COSMIN BARBU, 37, of Conniburrow Boulevard, Conniburrow, pleaded guilty to drug driving a white BMW on Sunderland Avenue, Oxford, on October 4 last year. Barbu must pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £266 and a fine of £666. Barbu was also banned from driving for 12 months. 

SINEAD SCANLON, 34, of The North Way, Watlington, pleaded guilty to one count of assault by beating against a police officer in Watlington on November 11 last year. Scanlon must pay costs of £45 and compensation of £100.
