Everyone – well, not everyone, some of you out there are certainly quite strong – has struggled to open a jar of pickles or sauce and needed to ask for assistance from the nearest person to see if they could succeed where you had failed.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. dealt with the baseball equivalent of this during the Yankees’ game Wednesday night in Arlington: He couldn’t, after multiple attempts, get the donut off his baseball bat. But luckily for Chisholm, he’s teammates with an absolute powerhouse in Giancarlo Stanton.

Chisholm handed his bat to Stanton, and it took just two instances of Stanton slamming it on the ground (with Chisholm watching intently) for the donut to fall off onto the turf. Stanton handed the bat back to a now smiling Chisholm, Stanton’s casual demeanor suggesting this was not the first time he’d been asked to do this, and Chisholm walked back to the plate, ready to hit.

Stanton is on the Yankees for his ability to absolutely crush baseballs. But as he showed Wednesday, he can utilize that strength for other game-related purposes, too.
